Position Overview: 

Under the general supervision of the Senior Scientist, incumbent will be responsible for attending and organizing First Time Orders (FTOs), conduct testing and analyses of FTO samples and supporting raw material projects such as CCI, Derisk, SLE and sub materials approval for use in production.

This role serves as the bridge between the Research and Development (R&D) NA Flavor Seasonings/ FAFH and Manufacturing. Managing first time order activities in this role includes: scheduling meetings, managing FTO information and resources including root cause investigations; communicating information, data, and recommendations to cross-functional colleagues; learning new processes. Position requires problem-solving and attention to details.

Key Responsibilities 

• Lead and manage FTO/ MAC at FMC, Atlanta, HVP and Dallas plant.
• Assisting and training in watching FTO/MAC, conducting testing and bringing samples back to lab to evaluate with PD team (NA Flavors/ FAFH/ MACs)
• Lead and organize FTO/MAC check list meetings with developers, Scheduling and Production teams.
• Able to work flexible hours (A,B,C shifts) and traveling for FTOs.
• Compounding and conducting functionality testing from formulations and samples from FTO/MAC.
• Managing, ordering and analyzing (Sub, SLE, deviation) raw materials from plant and suppliers.
• Setting up seasonings and raw materials for screening evaluation.
• Support commercialization, supply chain and FMC meetings as PD weights on updates and solutions.

Secondary Responsibilities: 

• Utilizing SAP transactions to obtain basic production information (Bill of Material, Test Plans & Results, Production Schedules, Yields)
• Recoding data from FTO in a timely manner and support C&S as needed after FTO.

Required Qualifications:

• Generally requires Bachelor's Degree in closely related discipline; 1-3 years' experience; partial degree work and up to 7 years practical experience in field of specialization.

Base Salary: $52,830 - $92,440
Base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, experience for this role, and/or internal equity of our current employees as part of any final offer.
