Position Summary

This role will be responsible for developing proactive demos for the Beverage, Health & Nutrition business unit across a variety of applications featuring flavors and flavor technologies. Additionally, this role will maintain inventory of prototypes, ingredients, and featured flavors. This position will expand the Flavor Solution Innovation space and interacts with various labs, customers, cross functional departments, the FAFH (Food Away from Home) and CPD (Consumer Product Development) teams.  This position reports into the Innovation Manager, Beverage & Health BU Innovation and is located at the TIC in Hunt Valley.  

Key Responsibilities 

• Developing proactive demos across a variety of applications featuring flavors and flavor technologies under direct supervision. This to ensure actionable innovation support for proactive presentations, kits, tradeshows, and customer meetings.
• Besides development for Flavor Solutions, there will be responsibilities to create demos that feature our flavors for Food Away from Home accounts.
• Support the creative process and project management for ideation and execution of proactive programs alongside marketing team with a focus on FAFH and CPD ideation support.
• Assessing project and platform alignment with trends, designing, and managing demo libraries and menus.
• Investigating and assessing new trends and flavor technologies for proactive platforms and programs.
• Lab and technical expert on operating, maintaining, and training others on specific proactive processes and tools available.
• Project management support- including the proactive process for the Beverage, Health & Nutrition Business Unit alignment of projects between Hunt Valley and Geneva offices and would require coordination across systems and sites.

Qualifications

• BS in Culinary Arts, Food Science/Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 1 to 5 years related experience are required
• Ability to communicate effectively through both written and oral communications with customers, sales account managers, flavorists, scientists and multiple cross functional partners (sensory, analytical, culinary, FAFH, CPD, R&I) and business leaders as appropriate.
• Proven intellectual curiosity and self-starter, collaborative behavior and able to work in a team environment. Interacts with customers
• Good written and verbal communication
• Excellent computer skills (especially in PowerPoint and Excel)
• Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to collaborate
• Able to manage several activities at one time
• Interest in consumer and market trends in the food & beverage space.
• Limited travel involved (up to 10%)

Base Salary: $52,830 - $92,440
Base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, experience for this role, and/or internal equity of our current employees as part of any final offer.
