McCormick & Company, Inc., a global leader in the spice, flavor, and seasonings industry, is seeking a full-time Supply Chain Analyst. This new hire will work in the Flavor Manufacturing Center,, located in Hunt Valley, MD. The Supply Chain Analyst will report to the Materials Manager.

The primary responsibilities include data management, analysis, and reporting of business information in support of the site mission and objectives. The incumbent will perform daily tasks to collect, compile and report on key performance indicators and ensure timely and accurate reporting of the facility scorecard. The incumbent will fulfill standard and ad hoc reporting requests and will work to develop and expand reporting capability for key metrics by integrating manufacturing or distribution data with enterprise systems.


  • Maintain daily update on operation track on all production lines, plan, schedule, attainment and related charts.
  • Weekly review and monitor shelf life for all raw materials.
  • Provide updates to high level meetings S&OE/ CS update.
    Maintain and discuss the capacity leveling within plant teams and business to define the weekly/monthly target.
    Weekly update the warehouse and plant warehouse capacity to align with Purchasing and scheduling team.
  • Develop the attainment tracker and discuss the gaps with different team in the plant.
    Monthly/Quarterly review the rates and yield to increase plant performance and maximize the capacity.
  • Support the ongoing and future Projects on Ad Hoc basis and be a line of contact between departments and team.
  • Participate in daily/weekly meeting and own the team department meeting to follow up on current issues and project progress.
  • Monitoring and maintaining data within SAP, compilation of database deliverables, error resolution, and maintenance of data tables to comply with business rules.
  • Building and running queries for routine and specialized reports; fulfilling the role of expert resource for plant/DC system applications.
  • Responsible for preparing detailed documentation and operating instructions of new and fully operational systems and designing and implementing formal testing and pilot procedures to verify new system functionality and integrity in accordance with industry standard best practices.


  • BSc in Mathematics, Business, Statistics, Accounting or related field required.
  • 1 year experience in statistical process control, detail oriented, self-motivated starter and strong analytical skills. Applicants must have experience designing and maintaining large datasets using MS Excel and have experience using one of the following database engines: MS SQL, Access, Oracle, SAP DB2 or MSDE. Experience integrating data between multiple systems and including SAP and desktop applications is essential. An understanding of client server architecture and experience with database administration. Must understand plant/DC operations and metrics in order to supply relevant business context and data interpretation.
  • Must posses professional demeanor to respond to customer questions Must be able to communicate complexity in simple termsThis is frequent interaction with leadership on scorecard items and updates This position assists managers with data accumluation and evaluation
  • Professional Maturity - Must have a proven ability to handle confidential information and be adaptable and able to meet rapidly changing demands within the plant operating environment. Communication - Demonstrated excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to work effectively and cross functionally with all levels of plant hierarchy. Computer Skills - The candidate must exhibit exceptional PC software skills, including proficiency with MS Office Professional and SAP.
