We are looking to hire an Business Analyst I - Planning and Performance immediately  a Hybrid (50/50) capacity at our Global Headquarters in Hunt Valley, Maryland.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Business Analyst I – Planning & Performance will be responsible for supporting analytics within McCormick’s US SPICE Consumer Products Division and US Branded Food Service. This position will report to the Sr. Manager – NA Business Planning & Performance. The successful candidate will provide in-depth analyses to understand business results and drivers to enable business growth, assist the Business Planning & Performance Team in the development and execution of category and brand growth stories, and build analytical capabilities and tools utilizing Circana data and other data sources.

 

 RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support in-depth analytics projects to understand business drivers and forecast future performance.
  • Provide proactive consultation to Business Teams and support brand strategy through synthesized analytics.
  • Identify innovative analytical approaches and methodology that promote more efficient insight generation.
  • Prepare and deliver business performance presentations to cross-functional teams.
  • Support the development and deployment of new analytical tools.

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Analytics, Marketing, Management, Finance or related field
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Business Analytics, Sales, Marketing, Economics, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated project management leadership experience and success in prioritizing and balancing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience leading projects with a strong emphasis on analytics.
  • Ability to integrate and synthesize learnings from data analytics and translate into concise and compelling stories.
  • Strong written, communication, presentation skills and ability to influence and convince others.
  • Proficiency with MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Must be self-motivated, possess excellent communication and organization skills, project a professional image, and interact effectively with all levels within the organization

 

 PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience working with Syndicated/Scan Date with Circana
  • Proficiency in business analytics and syndicated databases (including Point-of-Sale and Panel applications), market research, and pricing analytics.
  • Experience with data visualization via Tableau and/or Power BI

Base Salary:  $74,330 - $130,080

Base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, experience for this role, and/or internal equity of our current employees as part of any final offer. This position is also eligible to participate in McCormick’s Incentive Bonus (MIB) Plan.
