McCormick & Co., Inc., a world leader in the spice, flavor & seasonings industry, is seeking a full-time Business Solution Owner on the Digital Growth Enablement Team. The Business Solution Owner will report to the Sr. Manager Digital Growth Enablement. This position will be located at our Global Headquarters in Hunt Valley, MD.

 

 

POSITION OVERVIEW

 

This Business Solution Owner supports the development, enhancement, and maintenance of complex data, reporting, automation, and analytics solutions. This role serves as a key liaison between business stakeholders and technical delivery teams by helping translate business needs into clearly defined requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Requirements & User Story Development: Partner with business stakeholders to gather, document, and clarify business requirements. Translate requirements into detailed user stories, process flows, functional specifications, and acceptance criteria that enable development teams to successfully implement solutions. Support ongoing refinement of requirements throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Stakeholder Coordination & Deliver Support: Serve as a primary point of coordination between business stakeholders and technical teams. Facilitate requirement discussions, clarify business questions, track action items, and provide status updates to ensure alignment throughout the solution delivery process. Support adoption and communication activities related to new solution releases and enhancements.
  • Backlog Maintenance & Prioritization Support: Maintain and organize solution backlogs by documenting enhancement requests, defects, and business needs. Support product owners and business leaders in evaluating priorities, dependencies, and implementation considerations while ensuring development teams have sufficient information to execute work effectively.
  • Testing, Validation & Quality Assurance: Support testing activities by developing test scenarios, validating solution functionality, coordinating user acceptance testing, and ensuring delivered solutions meet documented business requirements and acceptance criteria. Document defects and work with technical teams to facilitate resolution.
  • Knowledge Sharing & Continuous Improvement: Contribute to process improvement initiatives, documentation standards, and best practices across the broader team. Provide guidance and knowledge sharing to less experienced team members and support onboarding and training activities as needed.

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Data Analytics or other relevant field.
  •  5-8 years of experience in Business Analytics, Project Management, Sales Operations, Commercial Excellence, Digital Transformation, Technology Enablement, or related business-facing roles.
  • Demonstrated experience gathers, documenting, and refining business requirements, process flows, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Experience supporting technology, reporting, analytics, automation, or process improcement initiatives from requirements gathering through deployment.
  • Experiene working with cross-functional business and technical teams.
  • Understanding of commercial business processes including Sales, Sales Operations, Customer Planning, Marketing, Revenue Management or related functions.
  • Familiarity with Agile delivery methodologies and backlog management practices.
  • Experience coordinating testing activities and supporting use acceptance testing.
  • Experience developing training materials, business documentation, and user support resources.
  • Strong organizational and project coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and document process improvememnt opportunities.
  • Strong communication and relationship management skills with the ability to work effectively across business and technical teams.
  • Ability to facilitate requirements discussions and document outcomes clearly and accrately.
  • Ability to coordinate work across multiple stakeholders and projects without direct authority.
  • Effective verbal, written, presentation, and documentation skills.
  • Experience supporting training, user adoption, and change enablement activities.

 

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

 

  • Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA), Information Systems, Data Analytics, Technology Management, Project Management, or a related field.
  • 8-10 years of experience in Business Analysis, Project Management, Sales Operations, Commercial Excellence, Digital Transformation, Technology Enablement, or related business-facing roles.
  • Experience with Azure Dev Ops (ADO)
  • Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms and technologies such as Microsoft Fabric, Azure, Data Lakes, and enterprise reporting environments.
  • PMP certification
  • CBAP or equivalent business analytics certification
  • Agile, Scrum, Product Owner, Lean Six Sigma, or Change Management certification

Base Salary: $80,500-$137,000

 

Base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, experience for this role, and/or internal equity of our current employees as part of any final offer. This position is also eligible to participate in McCormick’s Incentive Bonus (MIB) Plan
