Position Overview:

 

The Change Manager is responsible for the successful delivery of business initiatives using the Manufacturing, Analysis, and Costing (MAC), Start-Up Management (SUM), and Innovate To Win (I2W) processes within McCormick’s Hunt Valley Plant (HVP). This position will serve as a liaison between multiple internal and external business functions, such as Engineering, Operations, Safety, Quality, Marketing, Sales, and Commercialization, to ensure successful implementation of change through both capital, and non-capital, projects. To assist in achieving these objectives, the MAC Coordinator and Manufacturing Technical Lead report to the Change Manager.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Owns the Manufacturing, Analysis, and Costing (MAC) program within HVP and utilizes this process to assess feasibility of new initiatives. Provides input and guidance to external and internal stakeholders for these changes based on outcomes. Presents the results of pertinent MACs to plant and commercial leadership.
  • Support capital projects, worth up to $40MM, at HVP through ownership of the Start-Up Management (SUM) function of the Early Equipment Management (EEM) Pillar. Provide coaching and guidance on SUM methodologies to other employees as needed.
  • Participates in cross functional teams to provide manufacturing input on behalf of HVP for new Commercialization and Business Initiatives. These initiatives range from product reformulations, packaging materials changes, or new product launches through major capital projects and can be aimed at increasing efficiencies, reducing cost, or obtaining increased market share.
  • Maintain the Change Management program within HVP to ensure the successful delivery of projects and other change initiatives. Provide regular training to the Change Management process to employees within the site.
  • Set priorities, provide coaching, and monitor the quality of work of the team’s activities. Identify growth opportunities for staff and develop training plans in support of these opportunities.

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • 10+ years’ experience in manufacturing, with 5+ years’ experience in Change, and Project, Management.
  • Experience in managing stakeholder expectations, including key senior business stakeholders, and maximizing stakeholder adoption.
  • Demonstrated success in managing complex projects.
  • Strong business acumen/savvy and understanding of cross-functional stakeholder needs.
  • Ability to influence decision making.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to negotiate/present to various stakeholder groups

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Project Management Professional (PMP)
  • 5+ years’ experience in food/beverage, chemical, or pharmaceutical manufacturing.
