We are looking to hire a Customer Analyst, Sustainability immediately in a Hybrid (50/50) capacity at our Global Headquarters in Hunt Valley, Maryland.

As part of the Global Sustainability team, the Customer Analyst will drive a holistic approach to customer needs on Sustainability. The individual in this position has a strong understanding of the competitive sustainability landscape in particular how customers and competitors are marketing and implementing their Sustainability strategies. This individual works collaboratively across the enterprise to respond to customer sustainability requests and help identify how McCormick can be best positioned to seize business opportunities that can amplify its Purpose-led Performance (PLP) imperatives. This position reports directly to the Global Sustainability Director and requires up to 10% travel.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage Global Requisition Process for customer Sustainability/ESG related requests to support McCormick’s Corporate Reputation as a sustainability leader. Day to day responsibilities include but are not limited to: completing customer and supplier sustainability surveys in a timely manner; identifying opportunities to optimize and automate/standardize the process; and maximizing use of customer-facing sustainability data portals.
  • Identify how McCormick can be best positioned to seize business opportunities that can amplify its Purpose-led Performance (PLP) imperatives by conducting regular analysis of customer requests and strategic customers’ sustainability initiatives.
  • Create a sustainability playbook for Sales Teams that enables them to better deliver on customers’ Sustainability needs. Deliverable will also support broader digital transformation initiatives at the enterprise level.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key internal stakeholders (e.g. Global Cross Functional Sustainability team, internal Sales Teams) to facilitate knowledge exchange and address emerging challenges and opportunities for our Customers’ Sustainability commitments.
  • Support the Director Global Sustainability in presentations and customer engagements to strengthen McCormick’s reputation as a Sustainability Leader.

 

Qualifications:

  • BA/BS Science, Business Analytics, Sustainability or relevant discipline
  • 3-5 years of professional experience in customer facing and/or customer service-oriented role
  • Strong data management and analytical skills with demonstrated ability to solve problems and identify and communicate patterns/trends based on complex data
  • Understanding of sustainability issues for a company in the CPG/FMCG industry including general understanding of customer facing Sustainability data portals (e.g. Ecovadis, Supply Shift, Open Climat) or other relevant data platforms/software
  • Ability to manage fast-paced work and prioritize a high volume of work
  • Mastery of PowerPoint, Excel and other data management tools (ex. Power BI)
  • The ability to work globally taking into account the regional differences in cultures and work practices.
  • Demonstrated history of effectively coordinating conflicting priorities in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Experience in creating and/or optimizing a process to drive efficiencies of scale
  • The ability to work cross-functionally and coordinate multiple workstreams toward a common objective.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Record of achievement in using effective influence and communication skills with individuals at all levels and functions
  • Proficient in more than one language (desired)

Base Salary: $86,390 - $151,220

Base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, experience for this role, and/or internal equity of our current employees as part of any final offer. This position is also eligible to participate in McCormick’s Incentive Bonus (MIB) Plan.
