This new hire will work at McCormicks' Global Headquarters, located in Hunt Valley, MD. The eCommerce & Omnichannel Director will report to a VP of Marketing - Digital Comm & Alternate Channels.

This North America eCommerce & Omnichannel Director will be responsible for the strategic direction, development, and execution of North America eCommerce business (pure play & omnichannel) digital path to purchase with emphasis on eCommerce with retail partners (e.g., Walmart grocery, The role delivers meaningful results to McCormick’s #1 Genius status ranking for L2/Gartner in the Food category with leading edge digital shelf capability building and execution.  Responsible for building analytical capabilities and processes in the eCommerce and digital path to purchase environment, including shopper marketing. Assist MKC Sales directors and CBMs (key account managers) in eCommerce and digital path to purchase strategy and execution with omni-channel retailers. Fully accountable for all aspects of MKC US business and P&L with eCommerce pure plays, networks and aggregators. Demonstrates close connection to technology / digital space and uses this understanding to identify new business opportunities for MKC. Plans and executes pilot programs to prove viability of specific business development initiatives. Directs and develops team of direct reports and helps facilitate knowledge sharing and productive working environment with internal and external partners (eg agencies, brokers).  Influences cross-functional leadership to enable growth in e-commerce customers including A&P management, supply chain, finance, IT, among others.



  • Leads development of our strategies and executions for eCommerce and digital path to purchase. Collaborates and directs internal and external team members to achieve company objectives in this space. Ensures alignment of strategy with volume and profit growth objectives and is directly accountable for meeting company objectives for eCommerce pure plays, networks and aggregators while assisting Sales Directors and CBM’s for omni-channel accounts. Develops annual plans and presents to divisional leadership. Develops and reports key performance indicators associated with digital path to purchase activities.
  • Demonstrates close connection to technology / digital space and uses this understanding to identify new business opportunities for the US business. Plans and executes pilot programs to prove viability of specific business development initiatives.
  • Provides Leadership and coaching to team of 15+ people with a focus on developing high performing talent. Facilitates knowledge sharing and productive working environment with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Provides thought leadership and knowledge sharing across regions to drive scale.



  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Marketing or Sales.
  • 8+ years demonstrated success building business in consumer-packaged goods, including annual plan development and execution for assigned responsibilities.
  • 5 years proven team leadership and employee management and development skills.
  • 5 + years broad business lens to include basic understanding of Sales, Marketing, IT/UX and Finance functions.
  • 3+ years’ experience participating in B2B2C eCommerce (manufacturer -> retailer -> consumer).
  • 2 years high level strategic & analytical thinking, strategic selling, communication, negotiation, team & relationship building skills.
  • 2+ years demonstrated ability to work in emerging space/new business models.
  • In-depth understanding of concepts and procedures within CPG industry (Marketing and Sales) - including advertising/ promotion/shopper marketing, insights and analytics, annual account planning with retail partners, and agency/3rd party management
  • Exposure and thought leadership in the commercial digital space.
  • Determination to win in the market place and focused on driving/growing business.
  • Wide range of activities that require complex judgments and solutions based on understanding of marketplace, willingness to win, out of the box thinking and analytical thought processes.
  • In-depth analysis with interpretive thinking to define problems and develop innovative solutions.
  • Developed communication & diplomacy skills required to negotiate internally and externally (e.g. with customers and CPG ecosystem partners). 
  • Negotiations have impact on business and involve both internal and external parties - strategic selling.
  • Internal key relationships with sales planning and field sales, marketing services, finance and IT.
  • Ability to engage and inspire others through passion for achieving success.
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving, communication & organizational skills.
  • Ability to influence across functional teams and manage relationships across multiple cultures.



  • MBA or master’s degree in a related field
  • Direct-to-Consumer experience
