The Ecommerce Data and Asset Syndication Manager will lead the strategy, execution, and optimization of North America's Digital Shelf Capabilities across key online retailers. This role is critical to ensuring McCormick stays competitive in the rapidly evolving omnichannel landscape by driving innovation and best-in-class digital shelf tools and processes. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in building strategic roadmaps, systems development, and optimization, as well as demonstrated expertise in cross-functional collaboration, change management, and stakeholder influence. This role will cover three main pillars: Ratings & Reviews Strategy and Execution, Digital Shelf Analytics (DSA) Strategy and Management, and Product Information Management (PIM) Data Governance.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

Ratings & Reviews Strategy and Execution

  • Define and execute McCormick’s strategy for Ratings & Reviews across digital platforms.
  • Lead the implementation, administration, and user adoption of R&R tools, such as Power Reviews, to ensure best-in-class consumer feedback management.
  • Partner with key stakeholders to improve R&R collection, distribution, and utilization for performance insights.
  • Develop KPIs to evaluate the effectiveness of R&R efforts and continuously optimize strategies to improve consumer engagement and conversion rates.

 

Digital Shelf Analytics (DSA) Strategy and Management

  • Own the strategic imperatives and execution of digital shelf capabilities by implementing and optimizing Digital Shelf Analytics tools like Profitero, ensuring high adoption and impact.
  • Design and deliver digital shelf scorecards that drive insights, performance improvements, and optimization opportunities across major retailers.
  • Establish KPIs to measure the effectiveness of digital tools and evaluate their impact on business outcomes.
  • Partner with Marketing, Customer Managers, and other cross-functional teams to ensure accurate eCommerce content (product descriptions, images, keywords, taxonomy) and improve organic search rankings and overall digital shelf visibility.
  • Serve as the primary business owner for Digital Shelf Tool vendors, working with IT product owners to manage vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and identify system optimization opportunities.
  • Present insights and data analysis to senior management regularly and on an ad hoc basis.

 

PIM and CSP Data Governance

  • Drive process improvements and cross-functional collaboration to enhance McCormick’s digital product attribute strategy and execution.
  • Translate customer and business needs into high-level requirements and technical specifications to inform system development and improvement.
  • Contribute to the design, functionality, and governance of the PIM system, ensuring it meets evolving business needs for digital initiatives.
  • Partner with digital marketing, IT, and business stakeholders to drive PIM enhancements and customer experience improvements.
  • Evaluate the challenges and opportunities within the PIM and Syndication ecosystem, implementing data governance practices to ensure consistency and accuracy.
  • Analyze and resolve complex system issues, recommending and implementing corrective solutions to ensure optimal PIM and Syndication performance.

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in eCommerce, Marketing Analytics, CPG, or Product Management.
  • 5+ years of experience as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, or similar role, with proven expertise in systems/software development and managing digital products throughout their life cycle.
  • Experience in conducting discovery, planning, product analysis, and managing large datasets across cross-functional teams including marketing, engineering, design, and product management.
  • Syndication experience with platforms like Syndigo, Salsify, 1WorldSync (1WS), and GS1.
  • Strong strategic thinking, business analytics, project management, and communication skills.
  • Proven experience in building strategic roadmaps, managing stakeholder engagement, and leading change management initiatives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities with a track record of developing innovative solutions and delivering actionable insights.
  • Experience in managing data governance practices, with the ability to optimize systems and streamline processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize, screen, and validate complex information to execute business strategies effectively.
  • Initiative-driven approach to gathering feedback, identifying customer needs, and implementing solutions that meet market demands.

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • In-depth knowledge of eCommerce platforms and digital marketing technologies, with experience driving digital shelf excellence across key online retailers.
  • Hands-on experience managing eCommerce accounts such as Amazon, Walmart, Kroger, Albertson's, and Instacart, with a focus on optimizing performance and maximizing sales growth.
  • Proven ability to leverage quantitative data and execute iterative testing to inform business strategies, optimize digital campaigns, and drive business outcomes.
  • Experience working with marketing technology providers and tools, including Salsify, Edge by Ascential, Profitero, Circana, Syndigo, and Power Reviews, with a focus on enhancing product content, ratings, and performance analytics.

Base Salary: $100,870 - $176,480

 

Base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, experience for this role, and/or internal equity of our current employees as part of any final offer. This position is also eligible to participate in McCormick’s Incentive Bonus (MIB) Plan.
