This new hire will work at McCormick's Global Headquarters located in Hunt Valley, MD. The Finance Director, Corporate FP&A will report to a VP of Corporate Finance.

The Director of Corporate FP&A is responsible for managing and directing McCormick's Budget, Forecast and Long-Term Financial Plan processes.  This position is responsible for financial reporting and analysis in key areas such as cash flow, capital, acquisitions and incentive compensation. This role is a critical and highly visible role with the Management Committee and top finance executives in the Company. The successful candidate will have experience, and be comfortable interacting and presenting, to the highest levels of the organization.




  • Works collaboratively with the Management Committee, Corporate Function heads, CFO Strategy Council, and business unit FP&A Directors to plan, execute and consolidate the corporate budget and forecast processes.
  • Leads global initiatives to advance and improve Forecasting and Planning processes through process redesign, technology improvements, and/or training of finance staff. This includes capital planning, developing the process and procedures for utilizing global financial tools, or changes in the way the planning or analytical processes are employed.
  • Responsible for working with Corporate Strategy and other functions to direct and manage the annual Long-Term Planning process. Works to consolidate and analyze all global regions (Americas, EMEA, China and APZ).  Supports financial reporting needs of McCormick’s Purpose-Led Performance initiatives.
  • Responsible for coordination and consolidation of the Corporation’s Capital Expenditure Process. Works closely with Executives and finance Leads who are responsible for managing capital expenditure projects to forecast cash needs, anticipated expenditures, and requirements over the strategic planning horizon. 
  • Works closely with Corporate HR and Corporate CFO to create financial models to calculate and measure Global incentive bonus programs. 
  • Global reporting, ad hoc analysis, and other duties as assigned. Responsible for aggregating global reports on key customers, brands, and other strategic areas of importance for delivery to the Management Committee and the Global Councils. Also, coordinates ad hoc global reporting depending on the needs of the Corporation in any given quarter.



  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting or other quantitative degree
  • 10 years + of broad professional financial/accounting experience required
  • Experience in budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis.
  • Thorough knowledge of financial statements and related funds flow concepts.
  • In-depth knowledge of the FP&A process.
  • Working knowledge of sub-functions across Finance Function (Shared Services, Commercial Finance in Units/Regions, Finance & Treasury, Tax, etc.)
  • 4 years’ experience managing people.
  • Experience and ability to interact with and present to the highest levels of the organization.  Adaptability - Work well under constant pressure and critical deadlines.
  • Microsoft Office with strong Excel and Power Point skills.



  • MBA
  • CPA
  • In-depth working knowledge of SAP Financial modules.
  • Experience with Hyperion Consolidation and Reporting software, specifically, Enterprise and Retrieve.
