We are looking to hire a Finance Manager, North America Inventory immediately in a Hybrid (50/50) capacity at our Global Headquarters in Hunt Valley, Maryland.

Position Overview:
Under the general supervision of the Finance Director, Inventory, Planning & Logistics (America’s) this position is responsible for providing financial reporting, analysis, forecasting, budgeting, and support for Inventories, as well as potential risks of inventory loss and the adequacy of current inventory reserves for all North America business units, including scrap and shrink. This position will be responsible for maintaining an acceptable SOX environment, assist in coordinating physical inventory counts for N.A. locations as required and providing support for all associated internal controls.
Primary Responsibilities include:
- Financial inventory reporting and analysis including communication of variances, trends, and associated explanations, as well as impacts and changes to inventory turnover/days in inventory.
- Financial reporting and analysis over shrink and scrap activity.
- Partnership with North America Materials Management to assess inventory at risk as it compares to current inventory reserves, providing explanation of issues, trends, and changes to Finance leadership.
- Provide Inventory at Risk Disposition Probability analysis to support expected business unit financial impacts based on current risk trends and actual scrap/loss relationships. Support analysis through summaries and trends to help understand root cause/key drivers of loss.
- Lead financial discussion with diverse audiences including non-financial and financial business partners to explain the story behind the numbers.
- Coordination, observation, and audits of physical inventory counts as needed.
- Identify and implement transformational opportunities across the Supply Chain Finance network and eliminate non-value-added activities.
- Ensure adherence to corporate policy and procedures and compliance with the requirements of Sarbanes Oxley Act.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or Business
- A Minimum of 3 years' experience in Financial Analysis
- Strong interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to work across functions and cultures.
- Ability to interact with all levels of the organization and appropriately challenge the status quo.
- Proven analytical and organization skills with strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Self-starter with ability to influence decisions and make financially justified recommendations.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively to resolve issues, handle multiple projects at once, work under pressure, apply judgment, and ask for aid in prioritizing as applicable.
- Desire and ability to identify, implement, and maintain transformational changes.
Preferred Qualifications:
- MBA and/or CPA
- Experience with financial systems (SAP, BW, TM1), Microsoft Office, and Power BI.
- Experience participating on projects, supporting finance initiatives with the business.
- Experience or working knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX).

Base Salary: $86,390 to $151,220
Base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, experience for this role, and/or internal equity of our current employees as part of any final offer. This position is also eligible to participate in McCormick’s Incentive Bonus (MIB) Plan.
