Financial Analyst, Trade Spend

This new hire will work at the Global Headquarters, located in Hunt Valley, MD. The Financial Analyst, Trade Spend will report to a Finance Director – Global Trade Spend.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Trade Spend Center of Excellence is responsible for key financial activities supporting the Global Commercial Finance organization, as well as its business partners.   The Financial Analyst position is an integral member of the Trade Spend Center of Excellence and will be the subject matter expert on all price related activities, price pages and processes.  The role is primarily responsible for managing the execution of updating and maintaining multiple customer price pages, implementing pricing changes in SAP and Trade Promotion Management systems, researching invoice pricing discrepancies while working with the cross functional teams on resolutions.   

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Point person responsible for executing and maintaining customer price pages for any changes including but not limited to; pricing actions, new item launches or discontinuations, changes in customer deals, or any other ad hoc price page updates.
  • Publish customer price pages to salesforce in an accurate and timely way to enable sales to communicate with the customer.
  • Coordinate analysis of invoice pricing discrepancies amongst Financial Analysts in Commercial and Sales Finance
  • Determine root cause of pricing discrepancies and drive resolution and future corrective actions.
  • Coordinate pricing updates for quarterly forecasts, working closely with Commercial Finance to provide the most accurate pricing information. 
  • Work closely with Financial Analyst II during specific customer contract updates by analyzing and maintaining the customer specific price pages.
  • Maintain and update customer specific pricing in SAP
  • Coordinates with Global Enablement Team to implement and maintain customer specific Off Invoice and EDLC Allowances
  • Work with Customer Service to develop efficiencies around price discrepancy resolution.
  • Other ad hoc financial analysis requests and project work as required, including pricing analysis in the TPM system.


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business.
  • Minimum of 2 years of Accounting or Financial analysis.
  • Detail oriented with a bias towards the highest quality of accuracy. 
  • Demonstrated thorough knowledge of the capabilities of transaction & reporting systems.
  • Understands available reporting, drill down capabilities, and able to organize data in a way that adds value to analysis.
  • Strong proficiency in Excel and basic proficiency in Word and Power Point.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to communicate effectively at all levels.
  • Self-management of own workload – capability to plan work and meet deadlines under pressure.
  • Self-starter and proactive in initiating action steps.

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience with SAP, Hyperion, and Business Warehouse.
  • Experience in manufacturing environment or other supply chain/costing area.
  • Experience participating on projects supporting Finance initiatives within the business.
