Position Overview

Key member of the financial reporting group responsible for monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting and analysis. The senior financial reporting analyst will assist in the preparation of financial statements, analysis and reconciliations. A hybrid role that’s key responsibilities include assisting in the preparation of the annual report (10K), quarterly reports (10Q’s) and other SEC filings, disclosure controls and procedures, preparing financial analyses and presentations for management and keeping current on new accounting standards issued by the various regulatory bodies with regard to their financial impact on the Company. Responsible for various accounting analysis for certain employee benefit related matters, financial statement preparation and audit coordination. 

 

Responsibilities
•    Work closely with all members of the Corporate Controller’s Team to prepare and deliver external financial reporting – including quarterly earnings release materials and required SEC filings (10K, 10Q, 8K, annual report, proxy filing, statutory and other misc other SEC filings)   
•    Assist in certain month-end and quarter end close process activities and help in maintaining SOX controls for the financial reporting process including the performance of timely balance sheet reconciliations.   
•    Assist Corporate Controllership in interfacing with others, including senior management, external auditors and consultants regarding accounting and financial reporting issues to ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and SEC regulations   
•    Assist in developing monthly and quarterly financial reporting calendars and project plans   
•    Work closely with all members of the Corporate Controller’s Team to prepare and deliver external financial reporting – including quarterly earnings release materials and required SEC filings (10K, 10Q, 8K, annual report, proxy filing, statutory and other misc other SEC filings)  
•    Serves as the primary resource in managing the flow of financial data into SEC filing tool, Workiva 
•    Participates in the review of new and unusual transactions to ensure that they are recorded in compliance with US GAAP

 

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
  • CPA
  • 3+ years of professional financial/accounting experience is required
  • Good business sense, strong accounting and analytical skills, demonstrated ability to perform financial analysis and work independently with limited direction, excellent organization and time management skills with a focus on meeting strict monthly deadlines
  • Familiarity with financial accounting standards and SEC accounting requirements.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated experience interfacing with all organizational levels
  • Ability to work collaboratively to resolve issues
  • Ability to work across functions and cultures
  • Familiarity and knowledge of US GAAP and applicable disclosure requirements
  • Microsoft Excel, XBRL and Hyperion experience/skills a plus
  • Experience within the food industry a plus
