Full Stack Engineer (Remote)

The Full Stack Engineer works on the front and back end of the web technology stack. This role will participate in the design and creation of scalable software to meet current and future business needs. They will write clean functional code in both front and back-end systems. This role will also review and suggest improvements to third party code. It is critical that the incumbent maintains his/her knowledge of current and trending technologies to share with teammates and help develop other members of the team. 

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and build state of the art business applications and prepare technical specfications based on evaluation of business specifications for complex business requirements
  • Collaborate with team members to design and implement multi-tiered enterprise solutions that are feature-rich, performant, and maintain a high degree of test automation
  • Actively participate and contribute to technical discussions and code reviews
  • Work to enhance your skills and capabilities and those of other developers within your Agile chapter through experimentation, training, and knowledge transfer
  • Identify, triage and solve complex issues and problems in timely and efficient manner
  • Ability to handle rotational, on-call responsibilities when needed
  • Maintain continuous personal learning and development to remain technological relevant in current and emerging technologies

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree typically within a technical subject such as computer science
  • Eight plus (8+) years of in-depth experience in object-oriented business application design and development in a multi-tiered environment including at least one year in a development leadership capacity
  • Experience in all phases of SDLC like Requirement Analysis, Implementation and Maintenance, and extensive experience with Agile and SCRUM. In-depth experience in object-oriented business application design and development in a multi-tiered environment. Strong proficiency with C#, .NET, data structures, basic algorithms, and applying object-oriented principles and design patterns
  • Very strong experience with scripting languages like Python or PowerShell. Experience in working with cloud providers and technologies to complete a multi tiered solution from beginning to end. Experience in designing and implementing efficient RESTful APIs. Experience in Unit Testing frameworks like JEST, Cypress, NUnit, Selenium or similar. Experience in Version Control tools like GIT and IDE like VSCode, Visual Studio. Experience with monitoring/observability platforms like New Relic or similar.  Experience with CI/CD platform like TeamCity, Jenkins, ADO Pipelines, etc.  Experience developing database stored procedures using T/SQL and/or NoSQL technologies
  • Excellent communication skills and a desire to collaborate openly within a fast-moving team
  • Experience with an enterprise CMS like Sitecore or similar is preferred
