Position Overview:
Reporting to the Functional Solutions and Enablers Director, the Functional Solutions Lead acts as a vital link between McCormick's D&A Hub and functional teams. The role's primary objective is to foster a robust partnership, ensuring that the Hub comprehensively addresses the requirements of functional teams. The Functional Solutions Lead represents the functional perspective within the Hub, contributing to the development of data-driven solutions and functional optimization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with functional teams to gather and document their D&A requirements, prioritizing functional needs effectively.
- Serve as a liaison between functional teams and strategic solution-build teams, ensuring seamless communication and alignment.
- Establish feedback mechanisms to keep functional teams informed of project progress and solicit their input.
- Maintain an in-depth understanding of the specific challenges, goals, and operational methods of functional teams.
- Monitor the delivery of data solutions, tracking progress and ensuring successful implementation.
- Partner with IT to provide necessary capacity and capability for McCormick's digital transformation.
- Participate ad hoc in GBS Governance and Functional teams as required.
Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience with progressive leadership responsibilities
- Proficient in collaborating with Regional Leadership teams to establish scorecards, KPIs, and Automation solutions
- Technical expertise in Data environments, including transformation, models, and queries
- Demonstrated experience working with diverse regions and cultures
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Supply Chain, Finance, or a related field
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills to guide and influence others effectively
- Proficient in analytical decision-making and setting strategic direction
- Business acumen with the ability to manage ambiguity
- Capability to translate strategy into actionable insights
- Flexible with the ability to manage multiple priorities concurrently
- Strong problem-solving skills, capable of leading others in problem-solving and root cause analysis
- Fluent in English
