Global Strategic Procurement Analytics & Insight Lead

The Global Strategic Procurement Analytics & Insight Lead will report to the Procurement Capability and Sourcing Excellence Director.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

This position is critical to unlock the Procurement division’s potential to achieve MKC’s growth ambition. It is responsible for developing, building, and implementing the analytics & insight strategy within the procurement function. The group led by this role is in charge of effectively structuring business problems and leveraging leading edge analytical tools processes and methodologies in order to generate actionable insights that result in a competitive advantage for McCormick. The impact of the analytics & insights strategy is felt across all regions and business units through the $3B+ spend the procurement division manages.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop, lead and implement the Procurement Analytics & Insights Strategy, Programs and Processes ensuring alignment to Procurements Strategic vision and Long Term planning needs
  • Build develop and lead analytics & insight team. Augmenting skills and modelling capability to ensure the right, competencies, tools and mindset are in place to generate structural advantages and future proof against business needs, delivering across all procurement teams and regions. Support & lead development and execution of change management approaches to drive risk strategy deployment and implementation
  • Strategic interaction with Risk, Digital and Organizational Effectiveness leaders within the CoE group and wider business to develop best practices for Procurement business activities, set standards for processes & procedures, and support them through relevant documentation communication and training.
  • Accountable for system capability awareness, and ensuring any new systems deliver the analytics and reporting needs of procurement and testing outputs of such systems. 

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Data Analytics, Statistical Analysts, Computer Science or and engineering / business degree with specific Analytics focus
  • Experienced in building transformational analytics strategies and programs and turning the strategy into deliverables.
  • Proven team leader with track record of leading and delivering with and through others. Demonstrated ability to build teams and develop both people and capabilities focused in the analytics space
  • Experience of interacting with and influencing senior leadership levels across the organization.
  • Demonstrated ability of partnering with stakeholders to generate insights and transformational value through analytics
  • High degree of ownership and professional commitment

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • MBA in relevant Business Discipline
  • 7+ years experience in Analytics
  • Data Science Background
  • 7+ years of team leadership and development of others
  • Experience of applying analytics to Agricultural commodities
