POSITION OVERVIEW:
The IT Lead - PLM has workstream level IT responsibility within the Enterprise Business Transformation Program. He/she partners with the Global Process Owner and the Systems Integrator Lead to deliver the solution, acting as a functional and technical subject matter expert. He/she provides guidance to align with the program guiding principles and ensure the scalability and long-term supportability at the best possible Total Cost of Ownership. The IT Lead - PLM has managerial responsibility for the full-time IT resources in the Regulatory workstream.
This position acts as the primary liaison to business workstream leaders and uses in-depth knowledge of our applications and tools to facilitate the optimization of business unit performance by enhancing the alignment between business process and information technology. The IT Lead – PLM is responsible for solution identification and design, translating business needs and objectives into solutions and technology roadmaps and solution delivery for PLM, with a emphasis on Regulatory. The primary focus is to shape global business processes to align with leading practice capabilities, whenever a competitive advantage is not required. This position serves as the top functional or technical consultant for their area of expertise.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Business Relationship Management – Primary liaison to PLM/ Regulatory GPO and SI workstream lead to define solution, address business objectives, enable efficiencies. Influence business Long-Term Plan with technology acumen.
- Owns IT Roadmap for PLM. Working closely with business leads, Business Relationship Director, internal and external customers, vendors and peer companies, research, evaluate, and recommend new technologies to support McCormick’s strategic initiatives.
- Seeking constant improvement opportunities and appropriately challenges processes, streamline and optimize business and/or IT processes while maximizing effectiveness.
- Effectively communicate PLM complex concepts and solutions to all levels of the organization and project team, including facilitation of decision-making and consensus building.
- For projects, formulate systems scope, estimates, and objectives relative to business needs and project requirements, considering application of industry best practices and new technologies.
- Provides leadership over program standards and performance as it pertains to solution design, deployment and steady-state, along with overall integration of processes within the PLM platform.
- Participates in project request reviews with Global Process Owner and Senior Global Process Owner.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- BA/BSc - Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration or related discipline.
- 12+ years experience with multiple full life-cycle implementation. solution design and delivery experience across multiple sub-processes or SAP modules for PLM. Expertise in delivery, project management, process management and business systems requirements definition in large global programs.
- Capable of influencing, assigning work and monitoring follow-through and output.
- Knowledge of SAP (including SAP RD), Devex preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to lead in problem solving process for projects and support.
- Experience with Agile/ Agile Scrum with tools such as JIRA or Azure DevOps preferred.
- Ability to build relationships, interface effectively with all levels of the organization.
