R&D Lab Tech II (Flavor Pilot Plant)

Under the general supervision of the FlavorCell pilot work leader, incumbent will be responsible for operating a FlavorCell pilot production line as required to provide extrusion encapsulated flavor samples for product application testing and Research & Development.  Performs pilot equipment change overs and maintains overall high sanitation standards for pilot plant area.   Routinely prepares dry powder blends and occasionally prepares simple liquid blends.  Occasionally performs liquid filtrations.  Performs routine process equipment maintenance and adjustments.  Maintains records of all raw materials usage and process data collected during pilot production runs.  Communicates daily with FlavorCell R&D team to report pilot production schedule and discuss observations



  • Acceptable attendance required.
  • Meets standards in overall performance rating in most recent performance review required
  • Excellent organizational, and recordkeeping skills required
  • Demonstrated ability to work alone as well as with a team required.
  • Excellent communication skills, including written and verbal required.
  • Minimum of two (2) years manufacturing experience and knowledge of GMP’s required.
  • Experience with continuous mixing and extrusion equipment preferred.
  • Experience with liquid blending and filtration equipment preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with hand tools to perform routine process equipment maintenance and adjustments required.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds required
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of DevEx and Batchmetrics required
