This new hire will work at the Global Headquarters, located in Hunt Valley, MD. The Manager, McCormick Analytics Centre will report to a Finance Director - Financial Systems and Processes.

Position Overview

Responsible for the global approach, design and implementation of profitability, financial reporting and analytics, and data hierarchies and dimensions for the corporation. The MAC Manager is a critical role in the overall success of the McCormick Analytics Centre. The MAC Manager will leverage the power of financial systems (TM1 and Cognos BI) to develop high-impact reporting and analysis tools for finance teams and senior leadership. The Manager will work closely with other MAC members to continuously improve both systems and processes. The MAC Manager will also drive adoption and support, and help users get the maximum value from the systems.



  • Reporting and Analysis- Provides the primary input into creating the global approach and leveraging the power of McCormick’s financial systems (ie: TM1 and Cognos BI) to develop management reports, graphical dashboards, scorecards, and other analytical tools. Collaborates with finance teams to define information requirements and recommend solutions. Develops enterprise reporting “standards,” and administers the portfolio of enterprise system reporting objects.
  • System and Process Improvement- Leads process and technology improvement projects, to include the implementation of changes or enhancements to financial system structures, metadata, and data to optimize (TM1 and Cognos BI) reporting and analysis capabilities. Actively pursues opportunities to improve competencies with the systems. Researches new features and functionality. Responsible for understanding how the requirements, design and financial data structures for all new analytical tools fit into the current and future analytical strategy and framework. Leads & attends training classes, seminars, and user groups to gain insights and develop new ideas.
  • Adoption and Support- Drives initiatives to leverage and support the adoption and reinforcement of the financial systems (TM1, Cognos) and processes. Works with finance leaders to identify knowledge gaps in their team’s analytical skills and abilities. Creates and delivers or manages delivery of training sessions, user groups, or addressing direct questions from users from every McCormick business unit.



  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Accounting, or Finance
  • 10+ years of broad professional financial/accounting experience required; to include financial planning & analysis experience and/or experience consulting in application design and implementation.
  • Experience and in-depth knowledge of financial systems, database structures and analytical tools required; experience with TM1 or other OLAP technology preferred.
  •  Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to rapidly distill complex information and transform it into a concise and readily understandable message at all levels.
