We are looking to hire an Content/Communications Manager immediately in a Hybrid (50/50) capacity at our Global Headquarters in Hunt Valley, Maryland.

  Position Overview

 

Responsibilities include developing, managing and coordinating our Corporate digital channels and platforms globally, bringing these strategies to life through content creation and distribution across the breadth of critical digital marketing touchpoints. A key component of this role is to lead and manage paid social campaigns and leverage creative resources to deliver an impactful customer experience via content and digital platforms. Additionally, this role is responsible for developing, managing and coordinating the writing and layout of multiple weekly digital content pieces. This role manages and grows Corporate social media and digital presence on multiple platforms, sharing audience-relevant communications. This role develops and manages website presence and delivery methods via CMS platforms; as well as manages outside agencies and vendors. This role works closely with Creative Teams and Business Unit marketers to create and deliver digital content in support of global business strategy.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

Develops and implements global digital strategies across owned platforms and paid social. Manages and distributes content and digital communications across the digital ecosystem (ex. website, social media, blog, YouTube). Measures impact of content and creates strategies and plans for improved impact. Actively drives brand building through content created. In this function, closely collaborates with internal communications and creative personnel. 
Manages vendors and agencies to ensure effective delivery against global business objectives and maintain brand adherence. 
Leverages data, insights and trends to build digital platform and content strategies, tactics and recommendations.
Assist in support of building and protecting McCormick's global reputation including oversight of crisis monitoring, analysis, and response on social media.
Manages corporate website and other digital platforms inclusive of content updates and site functionality. 

 

Required Qualifications

 

  • BS/BA in Communications, Marketing, Culinary, Nutrition , or related discipline
  • Min 5 years experience in communications or marketing. Advanced level understanding of creating effective digital collateral. Expert level understanding of digital ecosystem and abilities to build brands and perception within this ecosystem Keen understanding of internal processes of established company like MKC Consistently stays up to date with developments in flavor, food & beverage, and digital spaces.
  • Must have proven skills to adapt to and communicate with a wide variety of personalities and business settings. Team building, communication, time and project management skills are key attributes Negotiation with external groups; influence actions without leverage to drive results for McCormick. Very frequent interactions with internal (Business Unit marketing, insights, sales, technical/R&D) and external (customers, agencies, writers, designers, strategic partners) partners Will communicate with all levels of the organization.
  • Experience in managing partnerships and external relations. Excellent verbal/written and presentation skills - Relationship skills with external partners are critical Experience in project management

 

Preferred Qualfications 

 

  • MS in Communications, Marketing, Culinary, Nutrition , or related discipline
