McCormick & Co., Inc., a world leader in the spice, flavor & seasonings industry, is seeking a full time Marketing Operations Specialist supporting our Group Vice President, North America Consumer and our North America  Commercial PMO Senior Director.  This new hire will work in a hybrid capacity in our  Global HQ located in Hunt Valley, MD.  The Marketing Operations Analyst will report to a the Group Vice President, NA Consumer.

The Marketing Operations Specialist is responsible for all operational & administrative needs of the Group Vice President of Marketing, NA Consumer and the NA Commercial PMO Senior Director. This is inclusive of serving as liaison to marketing leaders, prioritizing communications, meetings and emails of the GVP, Marketing, coordination and communication of internal McCormick CPD marketing activities. This position is responsible for the coordination of purchase orders, marketing ops administration, ad hoc projects and management reporting, they will be responsible for the GVP’s calendar management, notetaking, email management, event planning, travel/meal planning, speech writing/ presentation formatting, etc).  In support of Commercial PMO, this analyst will work with an external agency to manage the bi-annual NPD sample mailings coordinating across multiple initiatives, will provide product life cycle management tracking, price increase management and will be a key contributor on the Annual Planning team.  

 

This position will require the highest degree of accountability, professionalism, confidentiality, organization and interpersonal / communication skills.
 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide dedicated support for the Group Vice President, NA Marketing by learning, understanding, and enabling the priorities of the Group Vice President, the NA Marketing Organization, and the NA CPD business.  Must also understand the priorities of the full NA and Americas Leadership Teams.
  • Communications management related to above priorities, including reading and organizing emails, summarizing executive priorities and to dos and where asked, responding to emails/driving approvals on behalf of the Group Vice President of Marketing.
  • Calendar management for the Group Vice President of Marketing with internal/external stakeholders. This includes scheduling high priority meetings and working with the executive assistances across functions and with the C-Suite/CEO. 
  • Key marketing meetings management including agendas and content coordination with relevant contributors, taking minutes and driving follow through with key owners.  
  • Travel, technology and logistics coordination for Group Vice President of Marketing, including booking travel, ordering meals, coordinating and submitting expense reports and managing IT tickets/needs with the McCormick Help desk
  • Providing Marketing Content Support by taking responsibility for presentation optimization of critical deliverables including coordinating content with key contributors, synthesizing and formatting for consistency and improved aesthetic. Copywriting/editing critical written and verbal communications to the organization.
  • Coordination of Internal Marketing Activities including the planning and executing NA CPD Marketing Department event logistics including 4 Live Quarterly Meetings, 4 Live Quarterly Marketing Leadership Team Events, 2 Live Department Wide Culture Building Activities.  Working with Commercial PMO and Core Marketing , provides leadership of Sales sample mailings from end to end working with a 3rd party.  Provides product life cycle tracking.  Provides project management leadership on Price Increases when applicable working with Finance, Sales, and GE functions.  Provides leadership and administrative support of Annual Plans process.  
  • Serve as a liaison for key vendor relationships and assist with PO issuance, invoices and spend reconciliation (media, coupons, barter, and other)
  • Liaison and coordinating with various departments within the office; Act as the on-site representative when the Group Vice President of Marketing is working out of remote office in Cincinnati, on customer meetings or in satellite offices.

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • BA/BS in Marketing or related program
  • <span 72="">3+ years of administrative experience supporting a senior leader with sensitivity to confidential information
  • <span 72="">3+ years of coordination for large scale marketing events including finalizing presentation material, travel for guests, and maintaining a budget
  • <span 72="">3+ years of copy writing and editing marketing presentations
  • <span 72="">Strong written and verbal communication
  • Acceptable driving record including valid driver's license required
  • Self-starter with a high-performance standard and a strong bias toward action.
  • Superior organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks at the same time.
  • Demonstration of a high sense of respect, inclusion and collaboration. 
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Products. Understanding of SAP is an asset.
