PRODUCT MANAGER I (hybrid)

McCormick & Company, Inc., a global leader in the spice, flavor, and seasonings industry, is seeking a full-time Product Manager on a North America Marketing team supporting the Convenient Meals Marketing Delivery team. This new hire will work in a hybrid capacity in our  Global Corporate Headquarters based in Hunt Valley, MD. The Product Manager will report to a Sr Product Manager.

POSITION OVERVIEW

This Product Manager I, will be primarily responsible for managing the strategic Delivery Marketing activities for the Frozen Portfolio, support for the Zatarain’s business, and Monthly Business Review deliverables to achieve short- and long-term goals. In addition, this position will have shared responsibility for the profitability, promotion, pricing, packaging, distribution, merchandising, research, and new product plan for the segment.

 

Responsibilities of this position include the development and implementation of marketing plans for product segments that support McCormick’s net sales and profit objectives:

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage Frozen portfolio P&L of segment(s) to achieve top and bottom-line goals via strategic product choices, Waste management, and CCI strategies.
  • Analyze Frozen business performance to deliver forecast accuracy, execute day to day business management, diagnose challenges, and identify growth opportunities. 
  • Develop and Implement Annual Plans for the Frozen portfolio.
  • Lead, collaborate and gain alignment from key internal and external stakeholders from supply chain, operations, product development to field sales and customers to develop and execute strategies that achieve business goals.
  • Understand dynamic food industry landscape and competition to define and implement strategies that consider the needs of McCormick, our customers, and our consumers.
  • Lead cross functional teams across Frozen and Zatarain’s (as needed).
  • Support the Senior Marketing Manager for Frozen, forecasting, brand planning and project management.
  • Recommends and delivers business presentations to cross functional teams and senior leadership.
  • Exercises discretion regarding strategic recommendations, data and sources, analytic conclusions, and financial recommendations.
  • Lead Monthly Business Review deliverable for the Conv Meals Team
  • Work Autonomously and take ownership for continued skill development.

 

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, or related field
  • Minimum of 3 years demonstrated relevant skills and results in CPG marketing or closely related field
  • Expertise in syndicated databases, market research, business and brand planning, advertising, finance, promotional activities, and consumer communications
  • Strong project leadership experience with ability to manage cross-functional teams and multiple projects
  • Sound understanding of Marketing principles and practices (functional expert) and a basic knowledge in other areas including Sales, Finance and Supply Chain
  • In-depth understanding of how own area integrates with other Marketing areas and with other functional areas such as Sales
  • Deep understanding of the industry sector and competitive landscape
  • Developed communication and diplomacy skills required to guide, influence, and convince others (internal and external); often customer-facing; interactions with senior leadership.
  • Strong leadership, strategic thinking, communication, and teamwork skills
