PRODUCT MANAGER - OMNI CHANNEL (hybrid)

McCormick & Company, Inc., a world leader in the spice, flavor and seasonings industry, is seeking a full time Product Manager - Omni Channel on the Omni Channel Digital Commerce team. This new hire will be based in our Global HQ in Hunt Valley, MD and will need to be able to work in a hybrid capacity.   The Product Manager - Omni Channel will report to a Senior Manager, Digital Commerce - Omni Channel.

This Product Manager - Omni Channel will be responsible for directing and coordinating strategic digital marketing activities for Omni channel retail partners to drive digital commerce sales and share of McCormick portfolio of brands.  This position will be the center of excellence for digital commerce practices such as merchandising, product assortment, pricing and promotion leveraging retailers digital touch points. This position will have overall responsibility for the media budgets, profitability, promotion, pricing, media, distribution, merchandising, research, and customer digital commerce plans for key retail partners in Canada such as Loblaws, Walmart,  Costco.  Additionally, this position will recommend Omni Channel Digital Shelf and Canada National Merchandising Strategy.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage annual budgets for digital commerce at key retailers.
  • Identify and implement annual digital commerce plans for key retailers.
  • Manage relationships with key retailer’s ecommerce, digital, and shopper marketing contacts.
  • Attends account calls and presentations in support of digital/e-Commerce, omni shopper programs
  • Leads analysis and annual planning for all Digital, shopper and E-Commerce Marketing events at key retailers
  • Responsible for recommendations relating to leveraging underperforming trade and national shopper marketing funds.
  • Provide strategic and tactical coordination with retail media vendors and partner with cross functional Shopper, Search Media & Analytics Team.
  • Develop and delivers business presentations to customers and senior leadership.
  • Coordinates with internal stakeholders to ensure that retailer digital commerce plans align with National brand and media strategies.
  • Assesses and monitors effectiveness of digital programs / ROAs and incorporates digital media evaluation into Retailer Scorecards and MMA where feasible
  • Serves role of ecommerce and omni channel digital commerce expert for Field Sales and key retailers
  • Develops Retailer Specific and National Digital CARS/MAPS and Digital Store standards

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, or related field
  • 4+ years’ CPG experience with minimum 2+ years’ experience in digital marketing, ecommerce
  • Demonstrated relevant skills and results in consumer packaged goods digital marketing or closely related field
  • Strong project leadership experience with ability to manage multiple projects
  • Sound understanding of concepts, principles and practices in Marketing, digital commerce (functional expert) and a basic knowledge in other areas including Sales, Finance and Supply Chain
  • In-depth understanding of how own area integrates with HQ Marketing, Digital and Field Sales
  • Deep understanding of the industry sector and competitive landscape
  • Developed communication and diplomacy skills required to guide, influence, and convince others (internal and external); often customer-facing; interactions with senior leadership.
  • Strong leadership, strategic thinking, communication, and teamwork skills
