We are looking to hire a Procurement Director - Corporate Services immediately in a Hybrid (50/50) capacity at our Global Headquarters in Hunt Valley, Maryland.

POSITION OVERVIEW

Provides expertise, management supervision and thought leadership in setting the strategy, assuring the supply, value and risk mitigation of Corporate Services categories, comprising Marketing, HR, Professional Services and Contingent Workers, These categories have a global scope and have significant impact on each region P&L as well as global customers. Accountable for ensuring alignment of category procurement strategies with regional business unit strategies and global councils. Provides input to the development of OGSM's (objectives) and strategic direction of the Function.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Management of a Global Procurement team to include the development and implementation of sourcing strategies in support of category strategies, to assure lowest overall cost while mitigating risk to the Corporation. Manages and develops personnel and recruitment activity to promote an efficient operation as well as assuring a high level of motivation and morale.

Alignment of category strategies with business strategies from the four global regions and respective local units. Alignment achieved through interaction with Regional Procurement and onsite visits with regional and local leadership.

Active management and interaction with Sr. stakeholders related to alignment and implementation on strategies linked to cross-functional enterprise initiatives to reduce our overall SG&A spend.

Leads global process harmonization and change management efforts while creating true alignment & integration internally and externally. Acts as internal consultant.

Manages large global supplier relationships which cross several procurement categories.

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, Accounting or applicable field of study required, or minimum 15 years relevant procurement leadership experience will be considered in lieu of a degree

Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in large scale strategic procurement and/or directly relevant supply chain discipline. 

Sound experience in leading cross functional teams, business initiatives and developing direct reports.

Relevant experience managing global supply chains

Requires in-depth knowledge of commodity markets, specialist in technical/subject area.

Basic understanding of material functionality, material flow and handling to optimize supply chain effectiveness.

Good understanding of how own expertise integrates with the function and basic commercial awareness.

Understanding of how innovation from within categories contribute to growth initiatives.

Strong communication and diplomacy skills

Professional - Project management/process improvement

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

MBA

CPM or APICS certification

Base Salary: $140,610-253,080

Base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, experience for this role, and/or internal equity of our current employees as part of any final offer. This position is also eligible to participate in McCormick’s Incentive Bonus (MIB) Plan/ McCormick’s Sales Incentive Bonus (SIB) Plan/ McCormick’s Dividend Program.
