Procurement Intern- Summer 2022


McCormick & Company, Incorporated is seeking a full-time Procurement Intern in Hunt Valley, MD. This is a 10-week internship (June 2022- August 2022) which requires 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday.

Our 10 week Summer Internship Program in Hunt Valley, MD allows college students to get a glimpse into what it's like to be a part of the McCormick family - rich in flavor, culture, and employee empowerment. 


During your time as an Intern you will sharpen your leadership skills, work on real-world challenges, and collaborate with the best leaders in the industry.  You will also have the opportunity to network with executives, participate in social events with other interns, and give back to the community. This position will report directly into the Associate Procurement Manager and offer hands-on experience in researching and analyzing external market conditions. Candidates should have strong desire to learn various skillsets associated with the procurement function and be flexible and open to all assignments. Responsibilities will include:

  • Analyzing current portfolio of suppliers and spend
  • Analyzing management of existing contracts and technical specifications
  • Examining current global business requirements
  • Examining the external market conditions that impact McCormick’s sourcing decisions



  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program with graduation date between December 2022 and June 2023
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s in Business or Supply Chain
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • Excellent communication skills (oral & written) for on-going contact with internal customers requires
  • Strong analytic orientation, capable of performing data analysis and creating stories out of data sets required
  • Ability to work independently, learn new tasks, solve problems, and show strong self-motivation and initiative required
  • Demonstrated organization and planning skills with ability to handle details required
  • Strong computer skills are a must. Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint required
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment is required
