Position Overview/Primary Purpose
Reporting to the Global Service Owner, the Organizational Effectiveness Manager implements change and project management programs to accelerate delivery, engagement, capability, and adoption of ways of working, systems, processes, and business priorities impacting the Q&R and/or R&D organizations. This role develops, maintains, and audits the skills, requirements, and developmental activities for employees as well as collaborates with stakeholders to identify business needs and resolve performance gaps. Using Change Management principles, provides the Transformation and Organizational Effectiveness organization standardized process of communication, prioritization, implementation, and tracking progress of programs.
Key Responsibilities
• Leadership and Deployment of Q&R and/or R&D Organizational Effectiveness initiatives - in partnership with the RDQR Transformation and Organizational Effectiveness team to create comprehensive change and project plans that enable delivery of strategic objectives. Effectively communicate organizational goals, changes, and initiatives to stakeholders at all levels. Build strong relationships to ensure understanding, buy-in, and support for change and project management initiatives
• Organizational Change and Project Management – change and/or project leader for the prioritized Q&R and/or R&D integration and/or technical opportunities, ensuring all three phases of change (preparation, managing, and reinforcing) and their tools are executed. Deliver change and project management solutions that enable functional readiness and ensure success through guiding employees and leadership through change, promoting adaptability and resilience.
• Program management of technical skills and competencies Leadership of identification, development, and ongoing utilization of professional and functional skills, competencies, behaviors and requirements for Q&R and/or R&D employees, ensuring the organization has identified competencies and plans for successful transformation, current positions and future aspirations, succession, organizational design incorporative of the different levels of competencies, and the strategy for new roles and competencies within the structure. Partner with technical leaders, Communities of Practice, and/or learning organizations to ensure and enable alignment, planning and delivery through appropriate channels.
• Leadership and partnership of HR/OE toolkits - cascade tools, playbooks, standards, and strategies set forth by the Organizational Change Management and Project Management Offices.
Secondary Responsibilities
• Consults with PMO, CMO, SC, and CoE with input from internal and external stakeholders to understand and anticipate the needs of the organization so that change and program initiatives align.
• JTE and Quality Culture team to ensure changes, projects, programs, and competencies are aligned and standardized • Classroom based facilitation and/or training, as needed.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in relevant Sciences discipline (ChemE, Food Science, IE, Biology); Instructional Systems Design, Organizational Design and Effectiveness
5+ years of experience with change and leading initiatives, including experience and knowledge of change management principles, methodologies, and tools
Project/ Program Management: Ability to set and achieve project goals and objectives by applying the discipline of planning, organizing, and managing resources to bring about successful project completion. Hold the site/team accountable for adopting new processes or behaviors. Ability to evaluate and coach sites/teams on projects to drive results.
Change Leadership and Management: Ability to use clear, concise communication and influence to inspire the team to work toward desired goals. Actively sponsor desired change, including mitigating resistance within the team and removing barriers. Ability to evaluate and manage external consultants and partners, including relationships, objectives, and contracts. Ability to coach and create a leadership coalition to support change
Communication: Strong verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills, making the complex seem simple. Ability to communicate effectively at all levels in the organization - formally and informally. Competent at multi-tasking and managing demands across numerous projects and client groups. Ability to create clear, concise, and convincing communications and presentations.
Strategy and Deployment: Ability to translate training, development, and organizational strategy into action to get the best results through influence on organizational priorities. Ability to utilize an understanding of people (emotional intelligence, trends, culture, motivation) to envision future needs, drive future organizational direction, and create an adaptive learning culture
Q&R and R&D Culture, Programs, and Standards: Ability to align and modulate priorities across functions. Holds a deep understanding of ways of working, best practices, how elements connect, and exhibits support appropriately. Ability to use food industry knowledge and experience to build and drive change.
Continual Improvement & Agility: Continual analysis of loss data to focus improvement efforts. Pro-actively updating the team’s priorities, plans and resources based on strategy changes and situational needs. Development of a continual learning culture within the team. Ability to rapidly change, adapt, and train employees in response to market, customer, or strategy

Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s in Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Organizational Development or related field
Certified Change Management Practitioner (Prosci) or Certified Change Management Professional (ACMP)
PMP certification
Training or certification (CQE, CSSBB) certified quality engineer, or Six Sigma Black Belt for example
Experience in the Food/Flavor Industry preferred
Experience working in JTE/TPM environments

Base Salary: $102,000 - $173,500
Base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, experience for this role, and/or internal equity of our current employees as part of any final offer. This position is also eligible to participate in McCormick’s Incentive Bonus (MIB) Plan.
