POSITION OVERVIEW

Provide Regulatory Affairs support to strategic global business projects with focus on food packaging regulatory compliance. This includes packaging compliance reviews, risk assessments, and engaging and collaborating with our global regulatory and business partners. This position will create and contribute to regulatory processes and positions that support and enable business growth as well as process improvement to drive efficiencies.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct assessments and reviews as driven by regulatory processes, stakeholder requests, follow up actions, or issues.
  • Communicate with internal cross-functional teams and external vendors for information and project activities.
  • Provide global regulatory support and analysis to cross-functional packaging teams
  • Read complex regulatory language, determine applicable requirements, and translate into actionable items.
  • Research and monitor global food contact regulatory changes and chemical news trends
  • Identify safety and regulatory compliance testing needs, design appropriate testing protocol, and coordinate and manage testing with analytical laboratory
  • Provide administrative support and project management for development and use of global packaging regulatory program processes and tools.

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • BSc in Chemistry or closely related technical field
  • Experience managing multiple projects with changing deadlines and priorities.
  • Ability to perform independently with minimum supervision
  • Demonstrated advanced knowledge of MS office.
  • Demonstrated ability to collect, translate, store, analyze, and deploy data.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Ability to view a concept from multiple angles, weigh risk, and make recommendations regarding overall safety and compliance.
  • Detail oriented with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work flexibly and collaboratively within a fast-paced environment.

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience in food contact regulatory compliance preferred or experience in related fields of regulatory, quality assurance, or packaging.
