SALES ANALYST I - Hybrid

This new hire will work a hybrid schedule of both remote, and in-office, located in Hunt Valley, MD. The Sales Analyst will report to a Sales Technology Manager.

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Sales Analyst I role will support the internal sales team providing in-depth reporting and analysis to drive category strategy and identify business opportunities. The successful candidate will require strong technical skills. The individual will be required to utilize internal and external data to track key performance metrics across our portfolio of products and deliver analysis and recommendation on those data points. This is an entry level sales track position and requires the interest and ability to relocate as necessary in the future for other sales opportunities.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for creating, maintaining and publishing standard reports on an on-going (monthly) basis
  • Develop and maintain business scorecards on key initiatives for the Division and Business Partners (ie Broker).
  • Support the Annual Business Planning Process by providing data and insight on distribution, merchandising, and promoted activity.
  • Technical expert on internal reporting systems.
  • Provide training to sales organization on internal system.

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelors Degree in Business, Marketing, Management, or related field.
  • Must have demonstrated skills working on small projects and basic analytic assignments.
  • Proficiency with MS Excel, Power Point.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Must be self-motivated, possess excellent communication and organization skills, project a professional image, and interact effectively with all levels within the organization.
  • Must be willing to travel several times per year and relocate if necessary.

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Knowledge of McCormick Operations and/or Internship.
  • Experience in Sales, Marketing, Finance or a related field.
  • Experience in working with SAP, Syndicated/Scan Data with ACNielsen or IRI.
