SENIOR PROCUREMENT MANAGER

Position Overview:

This position is responsible for various External/Contract Manufacturing categories and the development of strategies and programs to optimize cost, rationalize the supply base and bring value to the Corporation while mitigating risk.  Responsibilities include strategy execution activity supporting External/Contract Manufacturing categories.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Managing Procurement for their External/Contract Manufacturing categories regionally, while collaborating globally.
  • Leading the negotiations of procured materials and services to assure optimal TCO (Cost, Quality, Delivery, Innovation) achieved.
  • Developing and implementing strategies to assure lowest overall cost while mitigating risk to the Corporation.
  • Promoting a high level of customer satisfaction in supporting the needs of Divisional projects and requirements for Purchasing guidance and leadership.
  • Participating in the planning and forecasting process to establish standard costs and provide explanations for price variances at Division level.
  • Participating and leading change management efforts while creating true alignment and integration internally and externally.
  • Acting as internal consultant

 

Qualifications:

  • BS/BA Degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, Accounting or applicable field of study required.  MBA Preferred.
  • Minimum of 8 years in Purchasing/Supply Chain environment with appropriate business experience required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of Project Management, execution of or participation in large, multiple or cross-functional projects required.
  • Excellent analytical skills, as well as evaluative judgment based on the analysis of factual and qualitative information in complicated or novel situations required.
  • Ability to effectively communicate internally and externally required.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and influence others, in a team-based environment required.
  • Ability to prioritize and balance multiple tasks required.
  • Excellent relationship and influencing skills required.
  • Excellent ability to identify, communicate, and implement continuous improvement opportunities required.
  • Excellent negotiation skills required.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word required.
  • APICS/CPM preferred.
