This new hire will work in a hybrid capacity in our Global Headquarters, located in  Hunt Valley, MD. The Senior Content Producer will report to the Director of Content Production & Strategy.

Position Overview

The Senior Content Producer: Graphics will manage a team of graphic designers to produce content for McCormick’s owned channels and creative campaigns, from social content to display ads and e-commerce content. This role will work closely with the kitchens team, outside vendors and internal creatives to create entertaining and authentic content for McCormick’s entire family of brands, from McCormick Spice to Thai Kitchen and French’s Mustard. 



  • Lead a team of graphic designers to ensure content is on-brand, on-brief and visually appealing. 
  • Devise and monitor process improvements leading to fast, efficient content production while not sacrificing content quality. 
  • Drive content production for a variety of campaigns and objectives. Partner with social, product content, campaign and owned channel owners as well as other studio creatives in multiple disciplines to deliver content with a consistent look/tone/feel across touchpoints that meets project objectives and brand TOV. 
  • Art direct shoots and work with food stylists, photographers and videographers to gather footage that is on-brand with high appetite appeal. 
  • Work with internal content team and creative vendors to brainstorm and execute compelling content ideas, from cooking videos to display ads, that will drive the business forward.
  • Coach junior graphic designers to improve skill set and take on increasing responsibility. 
  • Brainstorm and ideate content ideas with McCormick Studios and content managers from various disciplines. Contribute to storyboarding process before going into production.
  • Manage and provide recommendations for technology improvements to help with graphics production, i.e. HTML display software. 
  • Manage strategic and tactical coordination with design agencies and design consultants.  Including, but not limited to: briefing, getting proposals, quotes, cost negotiation and scope of work approvals and feedback.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design, Culinary Arts, Marketing, Communication or Equivalent Experience 
  • 7+ years of relevant work experience, including a mix of art directing culinary content, managing creatives and overseeing design projects for digital destinations.  
  • Proficient in key Adobe Creative Suite programs like In Design and Photoshop
  • Able to mentor, develop and manage junior creatives. 
  • Experience working with creatives and communicating creative direction
  • Able to manage projects and tasks in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication, organizational, and collaboration skills. Must be flexible, change-ready, detail-oriented and deadline driven.
  • Ability to stay true to a brand identity while still being creative and innovative with content.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience using HTML display ad creators, like Celtra or Bannerflow
  • Experience using project management/workflow tools, like Workfront
  • Strong understanding of what makes food visually appetizing
  • Experience playing an art director role in food content production 
  • Experience working with multiple brands with unique styles and tones of voice.
  • Fluency in Spanish or French
  • People Management experience
  • Cooking experience/food and ingredient knowledge
