This new hire will work in Global headquarters, located at 24 Schilling in Hunt Valley, MD. The Supply Chain Planner I-Supply will report to a Supply Chain Planner II- Supply.

Position Overview

As part of the North American Supply Planning organization you would be responsible for the development, planning and implementation of the S&OP Supply Plan for a complex and/or high volume portfolio incluidng the balancing and management of inventory, customer service requirements, and total cost to meet ingredients demand with opotimized total delivered costs (TDC). Managing inventory for New Product launches, managing disposition of slow moving and obsolete ingredients, and developing and driving continuous & process improvement initiatives across Supply Chain that create capacity, reduces inventory and/or improves service.


Key Responsibilities

  • Development, planning and implementation of the supply plan to meet ingredients demand at optimized TDC
  • Develop production (rough cut) and inventory plans to meet ingredients and implement corrective action plans
  • Evaluate slow moving materials and excess inventories and recommend and implement corrective action plans
  • Daily management and problem solving of supply and inventory plan variances, including unexpected demand, to ensure appropriate communication and actions with customer service, sales planning, marketing, operations and the customers as appropriate
  • Serves as the Supply Chain lead on cross-functional customer/business teams charged with business development, operational excellence and capacity development, recommends, leads and operationalizes process improvements and cost reduction opportunities.
  • Proactively participate and engage in driving supply planning execution of new business opportunities, including new products and product discontinuations, and indentify process efficiencies and improvements to optimize these opportunities


Required Qualification

  • BSc in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business or related field required
  • 5-7 years experience in Supply Chain Planning, Logistics, Sales, Marketing, Operations, Finance, Customer Service or a related field required
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze, trouble-shoot, problem solve and resolve complex issues required.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage projects and/or process improvement initiatives with cross functional teams using honed influencing & leadership skills required  Strong communication and organization skills required 
  • Proficiency with MS Excel, Power Point, Tableau, Word, and ERP (ex. SAP/APO/SNP/PPDS Optimizer or similar system).
  • Good-to-advanced level of understanding of concepts and principles in Supply Planning and working knowledge of these elements in other areas including other Supply Chain sub-functions, Operations, Sourcing & Sales.
