This new hire will work in McCormick Global Headquarters, located at 24 Schilling Rd in Hunt Valley, MD. The Supply Chain Planner I- Supply will report to a Sr Manager, Supply Chain Planning.

As part of the North American Supply Planning organization, the Supply Chain Planner I - Supply, responsible for the development, planning, and implementation of the S&OP supply plan for the Canadian business segments (Consumer, BFS, and CFS).  Manages a complex and/or high volume portfolio, including the balancing and management of inventory, customer service requirements, and total cost to meet finished goods demand with optimized total delivered costs [TDC]. Leads the material escalation process in collaboration with cross-functional partners to mitigate service impacts. Managing inventory for new product launches, managing of disposition of slow-moving and obsolete finished goods, and developing and driving continuous & process improvement initiatives across the Supply Chain that create capacity, reduce inventory, and/or improve service.




  • Development, planning, and implementation of the supply plan to meet finished good demand at optimized total delivered cost.
  • Develop production (rough cut) & inventory plans to meet finished goods demand via internal & co-pack operations network.
  • Management of MGIL inventory to meet Canadian requirements.
  • Daily management and problem-solving of supply and inventory plan variances, including unexpected demand, to ensure appropriate communication and actions with customer service, sales planning, marketing, operations, and leadership as appropriate
  • Serves as the Supply Chain lead on cross-functional customer/business teams charged with business development, operational excellence, and capacity development; recommends, leads, and operationalizes process improvements and cost reduction opportunities
  • Proactively participate and engage in driving supply planning execution of new business opportunities, including new products and product discontinuations, and identify process efficiencies and improvements to optimize these opportunities
  • Leads material escalation and allocation process with cross-functional teams to mitigate supply/service issues.



  • BSc in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business or related field required
  • 5-7 years experience in Supply Chain Planning, Logistics, Sales, Marketing, Operations, Finance, Customer Service, or a related field required
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze, troubleshoot, problem solve and resolve complex issues required
  • Demonstrated success leading and championing substantive business plan recommendations for senior divisional leadership required
  • Ability to manage larger projects and/or process improvement initiatives with cross-functional teams using advanced influencing & leadership skills required
  • Strong communication, organization, and coaching skills required
  • Proficiency with MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and ERP (ex: SAP), ECC, APO required



  • MBA
  • Demonstrated proficiency with PPDS Optimizer preferred
