We are looking to hire a Sales Director, Pepsi to join our team. This new hire will work for McCormick's US Flavor Solutions Team in either an office or remote setting. The Sales Director will report to the VP, Pepsi Sales.

POSITION OVERVIEW

 

The Sales Director, Pepsi will be responsible for managing and growing the US relationship with the largest global Flavor Solutions customer. The US PepsiCo business currently drives $575 million and $127M in gross profit. This role acts as the primary commercial point of contact for PepsiCo US and is responsible for developing and implementing the US business plans for this global strategic customer. This role has P&L responsibility for the US PepsiCo. The role also has responsibility to work across the PepsiCo US cross functional team. The team consists of 40+ sales, product development, supply chain, finance, quality, regulatory, procurement, marketing and sustainability designed to provide the customer with best-in-class innovation, service, and quality.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborate and execute strategic direction for US Pepsi business
  • Function as primary contact for McCormick for US Pepsi business and drive customer penetration through innovation and proactive customer intimacy
  • Achieve sales growth and profitability objectives, as well as measure and report on progress to objectives to senior management
  • Work cross- functionally (Procurement, Business Units, Finance, Pricing, Regulatory and Supply Chain) with the Pepsi team to optimize opportunities, drive results, and deliver customer intimacy.
  • Drive productive Joint Business Planning process with customer
  • Collaborate with global McCormick counterparts as needed to ensure consistent approach to the customer globally
  • Develop and execute customer pricing strategy to maximize business and improve profitability and drive key customer initiatives such as productivity
  • This position typically requires ~20% travel and is home-office base. 

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field; Sales preferred, or associate degree with 10+ years sales experience working in a business to business environment, preferably in the food industry
  • Working knowledge of technical aspects of products, i.e. nomenclature, applicability within customer's manufacturing process, substitution choices, new discoveries, etc.
  • Demonstrable critical thinking skills and business acumen.
  • Highly developed written and verbal communications skills that are clear, concise, appropriate in timing, and directed to appropriate levels.
  • Ability to network and collaborate with business colleagues to build constructive, proactive working cross functional relationships across the organization. (Cross-functional leadership)
  • Strong understanding of Supply Chain and dynamics that drive customer fulfillment.
  • Ability to manage internal resources and prioritize appropriately.
  • Ability to be innovative and take risks to drive new initiatives and new business.
  • Highly motivated, self-starter who is forward-thinking problem solver with excellent contacts and strong work ethic.
  • Strong organizational skills to effectively manage multiple tasks and opportunities simultaneously.
  • Ability to speak, read, and write in English.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex documents. 
  • Valid drivers license.

 

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • US business to business sales experience
  • Recognized in the flavor industry through participation in industry related events and associations
  • Experienced with Salesforce.com or other similar CRM software
  • Integrated Business Planning (IBP) experience
  • Experience managing P&L
