Regional Security Manager, GHQ 

The Regional Security Manager, GHQ will be responsible for leading physical security operations for all McCormick facilities in the region, including Global Headquarters, the Hunt Valley Plant, the Maryland Logistics Center, and others. This role manages security controls at the site level, develops local security policies and procedures consistent with global governance, provides an assurance function to ensure all sites in Maryland are compliant with global security standards, and leads incident response and investigations at the local level. This position provides visibility to the Senior Director, Corporate Security on incidents, challenges, and needs at the local level to ensure global programs and governance are implementable and effective at managing security risk.

This leader will partner with functional stakeholders like Human Resources, Finance, Safety, and Facilities, and local site leaders to ensure comprehensive and customized site security plans are in place for each location within the Regional Security Manager’s remit, and that those plans are compliant with global governance. 
This position will provide feedback to the Senior Director, Corporate Security on opportunities to mature the Corporate Security organization and ensure consistent alignment and execution between global programs and regional operations.

The role will be located in Hunt Valley, Maryland.

 

Responsibilities
•    Oversee day-to-day physical security operations for all McCormick facilities in the region.
•    Analyze security risks and recommend and implement cost effective strategies and programs to mitigate risks.
•    Prioritize security events based on their severity and lead incident response and investigations for all sites in the region.
•    Lead the implementation and management of security controls in the region, such as security guards, security technology, and policies and procedures.
•    Ensure site-level compliance with all Corporate Security policies and procedures through security training and awareness, site assessments, exercises, and after-action reviews.
•    Manage the end-to-end guard force program for all sites in the region, including procurement, establishing and holding vendors accountable to SLAs, and managing the budget and invoice approval process for guard vendors.
•    Establishes policies and procedures for security data capture, such as security incident data and reports, security data analysis, and information sharing.
•    Partners with key security program members, decision makers, and stakeholders to effectively communicate the status and needs of the Corporate Security program.
•    Utilize security data to identify trends and develop actionable insights to inform the prioritization of security resources.
•    Maintain close liaison with government, industry, security, and intelligence professionals within the region.
•    Provide event security management for corporate events in the region to ensure the safety and security of employees, vendors, partners, customers, and guests.
•    Must be able to respond to security events and needs outside of normal working hours.
•    Must be able to effectively lead and manage people.
•    Must be willing to travel within the region.

 

 Qualifications  
•    10+ years of experience in physical security operations with a bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related field.
•    Experience with global companies, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
•    Experience in developing and implementing security programs and strategies, performing risk analysis, identifying vulnerabilities, conducting threat modeling, security reviews, and expense management.
•    Knowledge of physical security technology systems and project managing security technology integrators; strong familiarity with real estate related physical security issues.
•    High degree of comfort in a dynamic and ambiguous environment operating with initiative from the tactical to the strategic level; flexible and comfortable working with multiple competing timelines/tasks.
•    Experience delivering an operating model with in-sourced and out-sourced/service management components. 
•    Highly effective organizational, interpersonal, communication, and group leadership skills.

•    Effective, proven ability in decision making, problem solving, and influencing others.
•    Experience working in global, multicultural environments which require cultural awareness. 
•    Strong business acumen with ability to identify and proactively address impacts and disruptions. 
•    Change management expertise that integrates project, cultural, and business impacts. 
•    Strategic and forward thinking with the ability to drive execution to deliver results. 
•    Strong collaboration and relationship management skills and abilities to establish creditability and confidence with team members, partners, and stakeholders. 
•    Strong personal presence and ability to influence and align at all levels. 
•    Strong communication, listening, facilitation, presentation, and creative problem-solving skills.

Base Salary: $100,870 - $176,480

 

Base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, experience for this role, and/or internal equity of our current employees as part of any final offer. This position is also eligible to participate in McCormick’s Incentive Bonus (MIB) Plan.
