We are looking to hire a Senior Director, Total Rewards - Global Programs to join the Total Rewards team based at our Global Headquarters in Hunt Valley, Maryland. This role is eligible to participate in McCormick's hybrid work program (50% remote per month).

POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Senior Director of Total Rewards for Global Programs will be responsible for leading the development, design, and implementation of global benefits programs, as well as managing the company’s equity programs. The role involves collaborating cross-functionally and providing expert consultancy to senior leadership to ensure that the company’s benefits and equity program strategies are competitive, compliant, align with organizational goals, and center around driving a positive employee experience.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Strategy and Design of Global Benefits Programs
    • Partner with regional Total Rewards leaders to develop and implement a cohesive global benefits strategy that aligns with McCormick’s business objectives and talent management goals
    • Identify opportunities to harmonize benefits programs and/or vendor relationships across regions, ensuring alignment and enhancing competitive advantage in talent acquisition/retention
    • Partner with Director of Employee Experience and Communications team to provide cohesive employee education on benefit programs and ensure excellent employee experience
  • US Benefits Program Management 
    • Partner with Americas Sr Dir of Total Rewards and external benefits brokers to develop and execute strategies for annual program renewals, retirement programs, open enrollment communications, and competitive benefits offerings
    • Oversee the U.S. Benefits team, ensuring effective program management, vendor partnerships, compliance, and employee experience through optimized workflows and responsive support
  • Equity Program Management 
    • Drive a positive employee experience by communicating and executing equity programs that are transparent and accessible
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for vendor management related to equity administration, overseeing relationships, contracts, and service delivery to ensure operational excellence and compliance
    • Supervise Sr Analyst of Equity Programs, providing guidance and development to foster a high performing team
    • Collaborate with legal and finance teams to ensure compliance with securities regulations and financial reporting requirements related to equity compensation.
    • Drive continuous improvement in equity program processes, systems, and reporting to enhance efficiency
    • Provide support for Compensation Discussion & Analysis (CD&A) of annual proxy in partnership with VP, Global Total Rewards and external partners


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, HR, or related field or equivalent experience
  • At least 5 years of experience designing and managing global and U.S. benefits programs, including health, welfare, and retirement plans, with a strong understanding of regulatory compliance (e.g., ERISA, ACA) and vendor management
  • Proven ability to develop and implement cohesive benefits strategies that align with organizational goals, harmonize programs across regions, and enhance employee experience
  • Hands-on experience managing equity compensation programs, including vendor oversight, compliance with securities regulations, financial reporting, and process improvement
  • Strategic mindset with expertise in developing Total Rewards strategies that drive talent acqusition, retention and employee engagement
  • Proven experience in successfully partnering with cross-functional senior leaders and external experts to design and execute Total Rewards programs
  • Ability to effectively communicate Total Rewards programs to executives and employees
  • Experience leading and developing global teams in a matrixed environment
  • Strong aptitude for process improvement, operational efficiency, and delivering a positive employee experience through benefits and equity program administration

 


Base Salary: $140,610-253,080

Base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, experience for this role, and/or internal equity of our current employees as part of any final offer. This position is also eligible to participate in McCormick’s Incentive Bonus (MIB) Plan/ McCormick’s Sales Incentive Bonus (SIB) Plan/ McCormick’s Dividend Program.
