We are looking to hire a Senior Financial Analyst, Consumer immediately in a Hybrid (50/50) capacity at our Global Headquarters in Hunt Valley, Maryland.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for supporting all key financial activities for key McCormick Brands for the US Consumer Business.  This includes coordination, analysis, and recommendations for management reporting, annual plan, budget, quarterly forecast, Integrated Business Planning (IBP) process, explanation of monthly results, scenario planning and special projects in support of these businesses.  The successful candidate will be an active business partner with the Consumer Brand team and various other cross functional teams working toward common goals to drive growth and profitability.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILTIES:

  • Serve as a key business partner to support the commercial team’s strategic initiatives and business planning
  • Manage Marketing Category P&L’s and deliver insightful commentary on business performance to enhance understanding of month-end results; collaborate with key stakeholders to provide robust financial, commercial, and market insights in management reporting, assessing performance against strategic goals and offering actionable recommendations to optimize both strategy and operations.
  • Actively participate in the annual plan, budget, quarterly forecast, and IBP processes for the Marketing Categories
  • Effectively creating, interpreting, and communicating complex financial models with a wide variety of cross functional business partners for business team P&L’s
  • Using critical thinking in the decision-making process to draw upon professional experience, market and industry knowledge and data
  • Interacting with cross-functional teams and various management levels within McCormick and presenting to high-level audiences
  • Utilize systems to improve analytics and processes to drive data-based insights.
  • Utilizing best practice financial reporting to meet the needs of the functional leaders, external authorities, and the stakeholders of the Company
  • Lead and support special projects in support of Marketing categories

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting required; MBA or CPA strongly preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Accounting, Financial Analysis, or a related business function
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; working knowledge of PowerPoint and Word required. Experience with TM1 and SAP/BW is desirable
  • Prior experience in a manufacturing or supply chain/costing environment preferred
  • Exposure to cross-functional projects, including support for sales and marketing initiatives, is a plus
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work with incomplete or ambiguous information
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities under pressure, and proactively seek support when needed
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across functions, cultures, and organizational levels
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Proven ability to apply financial and analytical techniques effectively and meet deadlines
  • Demonstrated initiative, sound judgment, and a team-oriented mindset

Base Salary: $86,390 to $151,220

Base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, experience for this role, and/or internal equity of our current employees as part of any final offer. This position is also eligible to participate in McCormick’s Incentive Bonus (MIB) Plan.
