We are looking to hire a Senior Manager, Strategic Initiatives immediately in a Hybrid (50/50) capacity at our Global Headquarters in Hunt Valley, Maryland.

Position Summary:

The Sr. Manager, Strategic Initiatives will play a critical role in major marketing initiatives for McCormick. This role will serve as our day-to-day lead on all sponsorships including sponsorship activation and vetting potential partners. This role will also serve as a key leader and connector on projects bridging our Consumer, Branded Food Service and Flavor Solutions teams. This role will manage marketing support for special projects such as trade shows, investor events, etc. Additionally, this role will be a key contributor to McCormick’s annual Flavor Forecast. This role is a critical position to keep our marketing teams running smoothly, ensuring our regular cadences are organized, planned and executed with excellence.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own sponsorship execution with all partners to ensure all partnerships are maximized. Vet potential partnership opportunities for organizational fit and key stakeholder alignment.
  • Lead cross-functional marketing activations including development of strategic plan, creative concepting, agency management, and on-site event execution.
  • Support critical thought leadership initiatives through planning, research and execution.
  • Organizing critical business cadences and other operational or administrative tasks as assigned by the leader

 

Qualifications Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration or other relevant degree
  • At least 6 years in Marketing with proven experience driving marketing strategy, leading global projects, and managing partnerships.
  • Consumer Product Goods or Food/flavor industry experience 
  • Ability to flex seamlessly between strategic thinking, planning and executional work
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships and work cross-functionally.
  • Excellent organizational skills with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Strong executive presence in high visibility environments
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexible and able to adapt to changes
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Base Salary: $103,520 - 181,150.

 

Base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, experience for this role, and/or internal equity of our current employees as part of any final offer. This position is also eligible to participate in McCormick’s  Sales Incentive Bonus (SIB) Plan.
