We are looking to hire a Senior Manager Corporate Events immediately at our Global Headquarters in Hunt Valley, Maryland.

Position Overview

  • Presents to and communicates directly with Corporate leadership clients such as our CEO, Management Committee members, Investor Relations, other Functions, Board of Directors and Global Council Leads to plan and oversee the details of major events and meetings.
  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams and departments and leads the event briefing process to ensure business needs, timelines and key deliverables are met.
  • Manages the strategic planning, execution and oversight of in-person and virtual corporate events.  This includes the Annual shareholders meeting, Global DEI Town Hall, Charity Day, BOD meetings, Global General Meetings, Unsung Heroes Event as well as major company celebrations.
  • Manages and develops direct reports and/or contractors, key vendor partners and agency relationships.
  • Oversees the negotiation of contracts for facilities, travel, entertainment, security, ground transportation, catering/menu selections, audio-visual, off site meals and activities and any other special requirements to ensure timely, on budget results.
  • Monitors event metrics, identifying and recommending methods for continuous improvement.

 

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Hospitality Management or Public Relations
  • 10+ Years of experience planning small and large corporate events
  • Demonstrated effectiveness dealing with multiple stakeholders including vendors, suppliers, event companies, chefs, employees, leadership etc
  • Strong organizational, written and verbal communication skills
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, ability to work with teams and key clients, strong independent thinking and decision making skills are critical, ability to work under pressure and strong desire to produce results.
  • Ability to lead and influence without direct authority
  • Must be able to work across functions, in a highly matrixed environment
  • Excellent negotiation skills.
  • Ability to quickly gain strong understanding and knowledge of the McCormick Culture and our vision for the future as well as how to get things done at McCormick in an efficient and effective way
  • Ensures deadlines are met for key stakeholders.
  • Proactively addresses challenges and makes recommendations
  • Performs well under pressure for big events, complex issues.

Base Salary: $103,520 - $181,150

 

Base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, experience for this role, and/or internal equity of our current employees as part of any final offer. This position is also eligible to participate in McCormick’s Incentive Bonus (MIB) Plan.
