We are looking to hire a Senior Operations DIrector to join our America's supply chain team. This role will be based at our Global Headquarters in Hunt Valley, Maryland and will be eligible to participate in our hybrid work program (50% onsite, 50% remote per month).

POSITION OVERVIEW:

Reporting to the Vice President, America’s Supply Chain Operations, this role has multi-site and multi-state strategic and operational responsibility for all manufacturing, supply chain and distribution activities. Scope of responsibility within manufacturing includes production, quality control, material /inventory control planning & scheduling, engineering, leadership of major projects. Supply Chain responsibilities include demand management, S&OP process, inventory, customer service, warehouse and distribution management.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • OGSM's- Participates in the development of OGSM's for the Flavor Solutions businesses. Responsible for the development of Functional OGSM's which support those of the Corporation.
  • Provides leadership in the development of long-term Capital plans which are consistent with the business plans for the operating businesses and as appropriate, other McCormick units
  • Creates the environment for a High Performance Organization, ensuring that the leadership and their people understand the goals and objective (OGSM's) of the business and that they have the resources and management support to accomplish them.
  • Provide an environment which ensures and provides for open and healthy communications. Provides leadership in the development of the Operations staff in order to ensure the effective management of current business and to meet the changing requirements of our future business.
  • Delivers results in all key areas, including safety, quality, service and cost and responsible for providing support for and driving future improvements through Continuous Improvement.
  • Provides operational insight into strategic discussions regarding current and future commercial opportunities and product supply capability.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or other related field of study
  • At least 15 years of experience in a manufacturing/supply chain environment
  • At least 10 years of experience managing/leading operational teams in a manufacturing enviornment 
  • Demonstrated ability building and sustaining relationships at all levels required, promoting a high performance organization
  • Knowledge of existing and emerging operations/manufacturing strategies and would benefit from an understanding of Finance, Human Relations and of the commercial markets in which we participate
  • Influencing , negotiating, relationship building, and communication skills
