Sr Analyst, Strategic Risk Management (ERM)

This new hire will work at the Global Headquarters located in Hunt Valley, MD. The Senior Analyst, Strategic Risk Management will report to the Chief Risk Officer.

This role supports McCormick’s Strategic Risk Management (SRM) program which provides oversight and management of enterprise risks, and related opportunities, impacting the Company. Specifically, the Senior Analyst will be responsible for implementing and managing risk technology tools (RSA Archer) and supporting the Chief Risk Officer in managing the SRM program and risk management related efforts. This role reports to the Chief Risk Officer.



  • Implement and manage risk aggregation and monitoring tools (RSA Archer)
  • Support or directly perform risk monitoring, analysis, and reporting, including risk scorecards
  • Support the development and maintenance of key risk indicators and improved key business indicators and related performance benchmarks
  • Coordinate with risk leads on risk response action plan follow-up
  • Facilitate risk assessments on the enterprise, major strategic projects and initiatives
  • Maintain a repository of risk assessment/measurement information
  • Create and maintain risk awareness communications
  • Assist CRO in developing reporting materials for the Management Committee and BOD
  • Support the CRO and other related risk committees or functions



  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field
  • 3-5 years’ experience in Enterprise Risk Management with a highly complex, global organization
  • Integrative and analytical thinker with ability to assimilate a mass amount of complex information from various sources and guide the usage of the information in decision-making
  • Keen business acumen as evidenced by business and financial judgement, as well as problem-solving skills
  • Highly developed strategic thinking, including ability to identify risk in business and functional plans
  • Strong process orientation, including understanding processes and core management activities, and ability to identify process improvement opportunities
  • Able to build and leverage strong relationships with business and corporate staffs and external advisors
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely to all levels of the organization



Experience implementing RSA Archer preferred
