Position Overview
Reporting to the Chief Risk Officer (CRO), the Sr Manager, Enterprise Resilience will be responsible for implementing and managing resilience initiatives across McCormick, ensuring our readiness to respond to disruptive events, minimizing downtime, and maintaining critical operations. Responsibilities include implementation, and continuous improvement of the Business Continuity Management (BCM) Program, including oversight and execution of the business impact analysis, contingency planning, and disaster recovery processes. The Sr Manager will also serve as a key partner with our IT and Operations teams, advising on technology and infrastructure decisions to fortify the business and increase resilience. Additionally, this role will be a key stakeholder in our incident and crisis management programs providing insight and recommendations to senior leadership, as well as aligning and enacting appropriate recovery strategies.
Key Responsibilities
Resilience Strategy
- Implement, and continuously improve the Business Continuity Management (BCM) Program, including development of BCM strategy and roadmap that aligns with business objectives and risk management frameworks
- Collaborate with leadership and key stakeholders to integrate resilience planning and practices into the organization’s broader strategic initiatives
- Promote a culture of resilience through ongoing training, awareness campaigns, and testing exercises
Business Continuity Planning
- Participate in the design of, and maintain comprehensive business continuity plans (BCPs) that address critical business functions and processes
- Conduct regular business impact analyses (BIAs) to identify key characteristics of process criticality, risk, and operational impact
- Incorporate ITDR into BCP by bridging the connection between critical processes and the technologies that support them
- Conduct regular testing and exercises of BCP and ITDR plans to identify and address gaps
IT Disaster Recovery (ITDR) Planning
- Regularly liaison with IT teams, influencing infrastructure decisions and DR practices to align with continuity plans and business needs
- Advise on required and preferred recovery technologies for business continuity
- Partner with various IT teams to deepen resilience for the business and via the technologies that support processes
Risk Management
- Ensure all BC and DR plans comply with industry standards, regulations, and best practices
- Keep informed of emerging risks, industry trends, and regulatory changes affecting resilience technologies and practices
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the effectiveness of the resilience program
- Prepare regular reports for CRO and other senior leaders highlighting status, risks, and actionable recommendations
Crisis Management
- Be an active participant on our Global Crisis Management team
- Provide key guidance and support to senior leadership during a crisis, ensuring informed and effective decision-making
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Business Administration Risk Management, Information Technology or related field required
- Master's degree preferred in Business Administration, Risk Management, Information Technology or related field
- Prefer to have one or more of the following certifications: Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP), Master Business Continuity Professional (MBCP), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)\
- 8-10 years of experience in Business Continuity, Disaster Recovery or related field
- Proven track record of leading and implementing successful BCM programs.
- Experience with business continuity software tools, risk assessment methodologies, and incident management frameworks
- Ability to effectively influence and engage stakeholders at all levels of the organization
- Strong ability to simplify and communicate resilience practices to audiences with varying degrees of familiarity
- Strong communication and presentation skills, specifically for senior leaders and top-level committees and forums
- Strong decision-making, problem-solving, strategic thinking, and planning skills.
- Strong project management skills, with ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously
- Experience with the Archer platform is strongly preferred

Base Salary: $100,870 - $176,480
Base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, experience for this role, and/or internal equity of our current employees as part of any final offer. This position is also eligible to participate in McCormick’s Incentive Bonus (MIB) Plan.
