POSITION OVERVIEW

The Strategic Portfolio Analysis Senior Manager is responsible for leading a team of financial analysts in developing and executing pricing and profitability strategies for the Americas Consumer and Americas Branded Food Service segments. This role oversees analytics for new product pricing, portfolio optimization, SKU efficiency, acquisition performance tracking, and list price actions. Reporting to the Americas COE Finance Director, the position drives process improvements, operational efficiencies, and financial evaluations across cross-functional and divisional projects. The Senior Manager provides leadership and expertise in profitability analysis, financial metrics, process optimization, and internal controls.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead a team of finance professionals in developing pricing strategies, costing, and profitability analyses for innovation across Americas Consumer and Americas Branded Food Service segments.
  • Drive SKU optimization analytics and align efforts with cross-functional business partners.
  • Manage brand impairment processes and evaluate acquisition performance against targets.
  • Guide analysts in periodic product reviews, including analysis of raw material costs, commodity cost drivers, conversion costs, packaging materials, volume changes, and plant locations.
  • Assemble, analyze, and present data to support business planning and innovation efforts for North America.
  • Lead the implementation of process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Mentor and train junior analysts to develop their skills and expertise.
  • Support special projects and strategic initiatives requiring financial research and analysis.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and maintain a robust control environment. 

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting (CPA or MBA preferred).
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in Accounting and/or Finance.
  • At least 2 years of project management experience supporting finance initiatives within business functions.
  • Proven ability to influence stakeholders across all organizational levels without direct authority.
  • Exceptional financial analytical and problem-solving skills with a track record of handling complex scenarios.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel; basic proficiency in PowerPoint and Word. Experience with TM1 and SAP/BW is desirable.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across functions, cultures, and organizational levels.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of financial and analytical techniques, with the ability to manage workloads and meet deadlines effectively.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, work independently under pressure, and apply sound judgment to solve ambiguous or incomplete problems.
  • Proven team player with a commitment to collaboration and shared success.

Base Salary: $ 100,870 - 176,480

Base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, experience for this role, and/or internal equity of our current employees as part of any final offer. This position is also eligible to participate in McCormick’s Incentive Bonus (MIB) Plan.
