We are looking to hire an Sr. Director, America's Commercial Planning immediately in a Hybrid (50/50) capacity at our Global Headquarters in Hunt Valley, Maryland.

The Senior Manager, Integrated Business Planning & Transformation is the leader accountable for designing, governing, and maturing the Integrated Business Planning (IBP) capability across Total Americas scope, including North America Consumer, Flavor Solutions, Canada, LATAM, and enterprise cross-functional Americas planning. This role connects strategy, product and portfolio plans, demand, supply, transformation, and financial plans into a OnePlan / One Number operating model. The role leads the monthly IBP cadence and executive decision forums, advances scenario planning and value delivery, and drives sustained process, capability, and technology transformation to improve agility, service, profitability, and growth outcomes.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • IBP Strategy, Governance & Operating Model
    • Own the Americas IBP governance framework, calendar, decision rights, and KPI standards across commercial, finance, and supply chain partners.
    • Institutionalize the Oliver Wight IBP model cadence, including product/portfolio review, demand review, supply review, integrated reconciliation, and management business review where appropriate.
    • Ensure alignment to a OnePlan / One Number operating model and clear accountability for plan quality and execution.

 

  • Transformation & Capability Building
    • Lead the multi-year transformation agenda across people, process, data, and technology to modernize planning capabilities.
    • Drive adoption of standardized planning practices, role clarity, and capability building across the Americas matrix.
    • Translate transformation initiatives into measurable business value and sustainable operating improvements.

 

  • Executive Decision Enablement & Scenario Planning
    • Lead monthly executive IBP forums and provide integrated recommendations on growth, margin, service, and inventory trade-offs.
    • Develop robust scenario plans that evaluate commercial, operational, and financial impacts under changing market conditions.
    • Provide decision-ready insights and risk/opportunity transparency to senior leadership.

 

  • Team Leadership, Talent Development & Change Management:
    • Lead and develop a high-performing team while influencing broad cross-functional matrix teams across the Americas.
    • Set performance expectations, coach talent, and build succession depth for critical planning and transformation roles.
    • Champion change leadership behaviors to embed new ways of working and strengthen organizational adoption.

 

  • Performance Management & Continuous Improvement:
    • Define and monitor IBP performance metrics, governance health, and value realization outcomes.
    • Lead root-cause problem solving to close performance gaps and improve forecast quality, service, and working capital outcomes.
    • Drive continuous improvement of IBP processes, tools, and decision effectiveness.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 7-10 years of progressive leadership experience in IBP/S&OP, demand planning, supply chain, finance, commercial strategy, or transformation within CPG and/or manufacturing environments.
  • Proven leadership of cross-functional teams and complex enterprise planning cadences.
  • Strong financial, commercial, and supply chain acumen with demonstrated decision-quality judgment.
  • Hands-on experience with ERP/planning ecosystems and advanced planning tools.
  • Required knowledge of the Oliver Wight IBP model, including product/portfolio review, demand review, supply review, integrated reconciliation, and management business review where appropriate.
  • Executive presence and ability to influence senior stakeholders across functions and markets.
  • Strong change leadership with a track record of driving adoption in large-scale transformation initiatives.
  •  Exceptional communication and facilitation skills for executive decision forums.
  • Ability to align diverse stakeholders around integrated plans, priorities, and trade-off decisions.
  • Advanced analytical capability and comfort translating data into strategic actions.
  • Strong performance orientation and continuous improvement mindset.
  • Ability to resolve complex and ambiguous business challenges with speed and rigor.
  • High standards of collaboration, accountability, and people leadership.

 

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA or relevant Master’s Degree
  • Oliver Wight education/certification or equivalent IBP/S&OP certification preferred.
  • Experience in CPG and multi-country Americas planning environments.
  • Demonstrated success in enterprise planning transformation and operating model design.
  • Experience with SAP S/4HANA, SAP IBP, Kinaxis, Anaplan, o9, Blue Yonder, Power BI, and/or similar platforms.
  • Exposure to AI/ML-enabled forecasting and scenario analytics in business planning.
  • Strong consulting and facilitation orientation with enterprise-level collaboration skills.
  • Strong stakeholder management across diverse cultures and organizational levels.

Base Salary: $121,900 - $219,410

 

Base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, experience for this role, and/or internal equity of our current employees as part of any final offer. This position is also eligible to participate in McCormick’s Incentive Bonus (MIB) Plan.
