Position Overview

 

This role serves as our travel specialist on the US team providing direct traveler support: researching and booking flights, hotels and rental cars. Monitoring if all reservations were booked correctly, according to travel policy rules and best practices. A person in this role will also be responsible for monitoring all systems (GDS, Concur) and cooperate with supervisor as well as Procurement Team in order to support relations with external vendors. This role also includes understanding and supporting expense side to provide ad hoc support to McCormick travelers.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Research, coordinate and book all international travel arrangements (air, car, hotel, train, etc.) in a timely manner.
  • Support Travelers and Travel Arrangers as the first point of contact for travel related questions, provide guidance/interpretation of travel guidelines and assistance with known traveler programs and travel documentation.
  • Research as well as resolve client concerns along with agent errors in timely manner.
  • Provide education, best practices and support to Travelers and Travel Arrangers on key industry information and overall program including technology, enhancements and program initiatives; Maintain travel profiles, conduct scheduled reviews for updates and completeness of data; Ensure that corporate negotiated rental of car, air and hotel are logged into GDS.

 

 

Required Qualifications:

 

  • High School Diploma
  • Must have 3-5 years of booking travel in a heavy domestic & international environment in a travel role.
  • Experience using online booking tool, Concur.
  • Experience using GDS (Travel booking systems), Sabre (highly specialized skill)
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate across all levels of the firm.
  • Experience in providing trainings for individuals and groups preferable.
