2nd shift - WAREHOUSE LEAD

DESCRIPTION OF POSITION:

Under the direction of the Warehouse Team Manager, the Warehouse Work leader is responsible for monitoring all production operations to ensure completion of daily requirements. The individual is also responsible for maintaining sanitation standards, training employees in new positions, and completing production reports as needed. In addition, the work leader will assist in the performance appraisal process and in-plant improvement projects and driving/supporting the Dallas Journey to Excellence (JTE) initiatives in a High-Performance Organization (HPO) and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) environment.

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Acceptable attendance required.
  • Meets standards in overall performance rating in most recent performance review.
  • 3+ years of experience in warehouse/distribution operations
  •  3+ years of experience operating PIT
  • Ability to communicate effectively and direct the work of others in a way that ensures that work assignments will be performed correctly and effectively.
  • Excellent leadership skills.
  • Ability to plan and organize effectively and efficiently, utilizing human and physical resources to meet production schedules.
  • Excellent decision making, and problem-solving skills required, as well as the ability to recognize opportunities for Improvement.
  • Ability to read and interpret detailed simple instructions and documents in English and perform elementary number computations (+ - x /).
  • Filling out necessary paperwork (payroll, stencils, in process tags)
  • Demonstrated ability for accurate recordkeeping and attention to detail required.
  • Ability to prepare reports.
  • Ability to interact well with other departments.
  • Ability to follow company policies and procedures, GMPs and sanitation requirements.
  • Ability to tolerate dusty environment and exposure to spices.
  • Familiarity with personal computer operations, including Windows and Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to work overtime and on different shifts as required.
  • Strong interpersonal skills required, as well as the ability to function as an effective team member.
  • High School diploma preferred.
