MAINTENANCE PLANNER

KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE ONLY ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (Include percent of time for

1 Position will coordinate/assign PM, CM, and predictive maintenance tasks. Communicate with maintenance work leaders, schedulers concerning maintenance activities that impact production line availability. Work with Crew Leaders & Team Manager’s to coordinate and update schedule changes and resource availability for maintenance windows. 50

2 Creating job planning packages (Gantt Chart) for all non-emergency planned work orders and assembling parts kits for each job. Use of sense of urgency for emergency work orders and emergency/ immediate task. 25

3 Assist parts clerk when absent with weekly parts restock and emergency parts orders. Create and follow up with facilities and/or maintenance purchasing vendors and/or contractors PO’s and invoices. 10

4 May need to assist in receiving duties for incoming parts: validate received parts to packing slips, filing of packing slips, entering data into CMMS/SAP systems. (storeroom clerk back up) 5

5 Develops and manages weekly technician work plans across all shifts and potential weekend work, constantly communicating with maintenance team, operations, and planning to stay ahead of potential changes.

6 CMMS database owner ensure standardized approach to equipment field entries, so we can search database for equipment history. Creation and modification of PMs in CMMS. 10

EDUCATION:

A. Discipline General Studies

B. Minimum level of education required to perform the job. High School Diploma or GED

C. Preferred level of education Experience

 

PROFESSIONAL MEMBERSHIPS/STANDARDS, LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS IN ADDITION TO

EXPERIENCE: (Minimum number of years and type of experience required to perform the job, specify number of years

Minimum of 3 years’ experience in maintenance planning

 

OTHER SKILLS & COMPETENCIES: (Explain other specific skills and competencies required for this role not already

1 Intermediate to advance capability with Microsoft Excel, Project, Word and SQL/CMMS systems

2 Demonstrated planning experience including job scope creation, job planning, defining labor and material requirements, parts purchasing and parts kitting.

3 Accountable to meet deadlines, manage multiple projects and provide solutions to problems as they occur.

4 Train and lead maintenance techs in CMMS use and best practices for the system.

5 The ability to create and distribute Pos and follow up on process after submission.

6 Requires the ability to communicate thoroughly with maintenance, production, and contractors in written & verbal form.

7 Must have a working relationship with production work leaders and supervisors. Production is our customer, feedback will be requested for reviews and appraisals.

· All machinery and equipment for the entire Dallas facility

 

BUSINESS EXPERTISE: (Explain the degree of understanding required of the industry, commercial environment and of

· Understanding of manufacturing imperatives (GMP, Safety, Quality and Process Reliability)

· Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment

· Minimum of 3 years ‘experience in maintenance planning.

· This role is required to plan complex electrical and mechanical installations and is responsible for developing

solutions that meet the plants costs, quality and safety goals.

· This role is required to problem solve after looking at the failure or PM and identify possible solutions besides contacting vendors to complete small task in the organization.
