Role Summary

Reporting to the CI/JTE Leader, the Operations Process Engineer will work in a team environment with production, maintenance, supply chain, quality, and engineering in the Dallas plant. This is a developmental role for an individual interested in a career in operations or engineering. Training in the areas of Continuous Improvement, Reliability Engineering, and Leadership will be provided on site or through the McCormick Learning & Development Center.



  • Integration of strategic capital into Operations, including:
    • learning the full function and operation of new equipment
    • developing training materials and supporting training activities
    • writing procedures for site operation and quality inspections
    • developing periodic maintenance schedule format changes
  • Leadership and coaching of Continuous Improvement teams
  • Development and documentation of process instructions for new formulations to meet customer requirements and maximize reliability
  • Providing technical support and assisting with troubleshooting of complex problems
  • Supporting activities that improve the performance of the plant in the areas of process reliability, safety, and cost


Qualifications & Personal Characteristics

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, or Electrical)
  • Previous manufacturing experience (co-op, internship or previous employment)
  • Willingness to relocate for future assignments
  • Demonstrated communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team-based environment
