Finance Controller

POSITION OVERVIEW:

Reporting to the Finance Director – Middle East, this role Managing, controlling and reporting the US GAAP and TRGAAP accounting & financing activities in line with local tax requirement, regional and corporate policies, procedures and guidelines. Maintaining internal and external controls and collaborate with tax authorities and external independent auditors.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ownership and responsibility for all Controllership activities for Turkey
• Provide insight and advice on all aspects of accounting under control. This will include guidance for US GAAP and TR GAAP.
• Manage local GL teams to ensure monthly US GAAP and TR GAAP reporting is timely and accurate. Oversee technically complex accounting transactions
• Manage relationships with local auditors to ensure the proper planning and execution of financial audits (on time/on budget). Close partnering with GBS is required.
• Review and provide oversight for the Balance Sheets and required Blackline reconciliations
• Ensure that all compliance obligations in financial accounting/reporting are met for Turkey
• Ensuring SOX and internal financial controls are effective within the Turkey legal entity
• Provide expert financial and analytical support to drive business value and assist decision-making.
• Ensure compliance with corporate and legal requirements.

CANDIDATE PROFILE:

• Significant experience in similar roles, preferably in multinational companies.
• Relevant degree and professional qualification (ACA, CIMA, SMMM or equivalent).
• Proven experience in tax, financial reporting, controlling, and internal controls.
• Knowledge of US GAAP/IFRS and SOX compliance.
• Experience with NETSIS, SAP and modern IT tools (MS Office etc).
• Strong communication skills across functions, cultures, and geographies.
• Analytical, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities.
• Team player with ability to challenge and improve processes.
• Fluent in Turkish and English.
