We are currently hiring for Plant Sanitation B shift to join our Operations team at 600 Clarke Road, London (519 432 7311).
This position is on Afternoon B Shift (Monday-Friday, 2:50pm-11:10pm).

Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for cleaning and sanitizing the building according to good manufacturing practices, and health and safety standards

Adhere to all safety procedures and guidelines

Follow directions
-
Record all necessary information as required for the sanitation program

Responsible for performing a variety of wet and dry cleaning tasks within the building

Perform tasks using various equipment, e.g. sky lift unit, forklift truck and hand truck

Maintains a high sanitation level in building
-
Adheres to GMP standards, Health and Safety regulations, and work procedures

Adhere to Sanitation Plan Schedules, e.g. Daily, Weekly, etc. frequencies

Daily completion of sanitation task paperwork

Responsible for all trash removal and recyclable items

Other assignments as required
Qualifications required:
- OSSD diploma or equivalent and successful passing of basic qualification testing.
- 1-2 years manufacturing experience
- Plant sanitation experience considered an asset
- Must be familiar with food plant operations
- Ability to operate floor cleaning equipment
- Ability to work at heights up to 30 feet
- Forklift experience is an asset
- Must possess a valid driver’s license
- Ability to operate powered hand trucks and ability to obtain Forklift certification required
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and take initiative to respond to changing priorities and fluctuating workloads
- Must be able to work overtime as required.
- Ability to do heavy physical work (e.g. lifting up to 50lbs)
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Available to work other shifts as required
In the spirit of pay transparency, we are excited to share the base pay for this position is $190 per hour + $1 per hour shift differential for shift. Base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, experience for this role, and/or internal equity of our current employees as part of any final offer. This position is also eligible to participate in McCormick’s Dividend Program.
