Position Overview:
- Support Product Development activities such as sample preparation and labelling
- Mix, pack, label, arrange for shipment, and track samples as required
- Maintain fresh ingredient stock in the laboratory by obtaining ingredients and recording shelf life
- Under supervision, support Product Developers in application work and product evaluation.
- Under guidance produce finished products for internal and external customer evaluation. Assist in culinary presentations through cooking, serving and clean up.
- Aid senior PD staff in process applications as required
- Under guidance assist with Sensory Evaluation sample preparation and data entry.
- Maintain sanitation and organization of the laboratory, following all safety policies and maintaining a clean and orderly work area.
- Perform other PD tasks as assigned by senior Product Development staff
Required Qualifications:
- Degree or Diploma in food science or related discipline is an asset
- Experience in food technology or food processing is an asset
- Meticulous attention to small quantities and detail orientated
- Good interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Good computer skills (knowledge of SAP, Outlook, Excel and Word is an asset)
- Ability to handle a wide variety of duties and prioritize effectively
- Willingness to learn and grow in the job
- Team oriented, flexible to work overtime as needed

In the spirit of pay transparency, we are excited to share the base salary range for this position is $48,630-$71,302
Base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, experience for this role, and/or internal equity of our current employees as part of any final offer. This position is also eligible to participate in McCormick’s Incentive Bonus (MIB) Plan.
